To celebrate the release, he just dropped the music video for the new single “Mainstay” [feat. Luv Von]. Watch HERE. It builds upon the world he introduced for Don’t Look Down with the recent short film for “Piece Of Your Love,” drawing audiences into a narrative that’s as captivating as the song’s chantable chorus.
Produced by Rod’s own Mainstay Films venture, the visual picks up where “Piece Of Your Love” left off as the bride Isabella escapes into the arms of Jason, leaving her fiancé Gino at the altar. Isabella and Jason cruise through the desert in a vintage Mercedes convertible, stealing away to a secluded roadside motel. The clip captures the heightened emotion, drama, and heartache of Rod’s best work delivered with his highest production values yet. It speaks to his commitment to leveling up all around.
Musically, it has all the makings of another soul-spiked melodic anthem from Rod. He locks into an entrancing back-and-forth on the main portion of the song. Feature and Mainstay artist Luv Von, caps the track off with a beautiful, poignant R&B outro.
It’s just one facet of this enigmatic body of work though.
Ultimately, Don’t Look Down is Rod at his most open-hearted, hypnotic, and honest. Across its 24 tracks, he traces a sonic journey fueled by sky-shaking hooks, hazy confessions, and the unabashed emotion that endeared him to a generation of fans and also enshrined him as one of the culture’s most powerful voices.
The LP begins with all the intention and power of a big screen blockbuster with “Summer Joy Intro” [feat. Summer Joy]. Meanwhile, songs like “I Am” doubled down on this intent, while he gets thoughtful on standouts such as the poignant “Mainstay” and introspective “All I Ever Had.” The trip comes to a close in epic fashion with the finale “Toast.”

Following the release of her critically acclaimed album “Romeo” and an extensive tour across Europe, one of Scandinavia’s most exciting emerging pop artists, Ellen Krauss returns with tranquil new single “I Roll My Eyes”, out today.
With heart-on-the-outside honesty and an instinctive feel for pop melodies and low-key intensity, Ellen Krauss has the rare ability to make intimate emotions feel grand and universal. In contrast to her grittier sound on previous releases, ‘I Roll My Eyes’ explores the tension between a need for excitement and unpredictability and longing for security within a relationship.
The production is reflective of the song’s contradictory emotions with soft, almost scared elements, meeting harsh, brutal sounds reminiscent of the themes around relationships and when desire, fantasy and reality do not always align. Alongside producer Christian Walz & Jones, Ellen has crafted a soundscape where these contrasts take centre stage.
Ellen explains, “‘I Roll My Eyes’ came to me as a sort of warning signal – a reality check. The song is quite conflicted in its own way. I suppose I’m trying to explain what it feels like when
your head and body aren’t on the same page. To me, the song feels a bit like a carousel –
all the emotions just spinning around. You’re fumbling in the dark, yet at the same time,
you know exactly what it’s all about.”

Driven by his distinctive, haunting vocals, New-Zealand singer-songwriter Luca George releases the melancholy pop anthem ‘Ashes’, out today. Following ‘Grow Down’ and ‘Not Born For Love’, the single marks the London-based artist’s third release of the year, with a forthcoming EP, due later this year.
Ashes’ is one of Luca’s favourites and standout tracks, portraying a love so all-consuming that even the end of the world feels insignificant. Speaking about the song Luca shares, “I wrote ‘Ashes’ around this really simple idea of being with someone while the entire world is burning around you. I always pictured this post-apocalyptic landscape the two of us sitting together while the room, the house, everything outside is going up in flames. It’s kind of cliché, but it’s about a love that feels stronger than the world ending. Everything else could disappear, humanity could cease to exist, and somehow none of it would matter as long as I was there with that person. That’s really what the song comes down to: heaven and hell could be the same, and I’d go through all of it again if it meant being with you in the end.”

On “one good thing,” Lyn captures the feeling of having a toxic relationship with something you love. The song explores the fear of fully committing, pushing something away out of fear, and then coming back because it’s familiar and comfortable. While the song is written as if Lyn is talking to a person, in reality, it was inspired by her relationship with creating music. Lyn turns the metaphor of an unravelling relationship into a strikingly candid meditation on attachment, resentment, and self-preservation. That tension comes to a head in the song’s devastating admission: “you’re the one good thing that’ll kill me.” The accompanying visual brings this emotional push-and-pull to life.
With the self-awareness and intimate storytelling that have become her signature, “one good thing” finds Lyn sitting with the uncomfortable truth that sometimes the relationships we value most are also the ones that hurt us the most. She shares, “i think my relationship with music was more than just burnout, it was simultaneously a feeling of fear and resentment that it was going to consume me as if being an artist was all that i am. i hadn’t known who i was outside of that for a while. i decided to write about that in ‘one good thing,’ speaking to my relationship with music and creating as if it were a person.”

“Rooted in the tradition of classic love songs, especially the work of one of my favorite artists, Maxwell, ‘again & again.’ is a record that allows the voice to carry as much intimacy as the lyrics,” says Cedric. “I wanted to honor that tradition while putting my own stamp on it, by singing the entire song in falsetto and letting that vulnerability shape the record. The track reflects a period of spiralling – drinking, identity struggles, and the overwhelming process of transition – ultimately landing on a simple but vital message: ask for help. Frontwoman Jocelyn further explains, ‘Don’t Do This Alone’ is “a song about the desperation of hunger and want that can eat you up, and the hope that comes from admitting you need help from those you love”.

Novul, the French Canadian electropop breakout, has released “Grilled Cheese,” her new single featuring and produced by longtime collaborator NASHUP (Nash Overstreet of Hot Chelle Rae), alongside an official music video. The release caps a weeks-long creative rollout conceived entirely around Novul’s vision and creative direction — a colorful universe of original characters, comedy, visual storytelling, and unexpected moments that has unfolded piece by piece across her social channels.
Beginning with “Caviar” in August, Novul introduced fans to the world surrounding “Grilled Cheese” through interconnected serialized content including “The Bus Stop” and “Hot Girls Don’t Buy Drinks”, before unveiling the music video trailer earlier this week. The campaign extends far beyond traditional track promotion, bringing together Novul’s signature humor, fashion, performance, and character-driven storytelling through a short film and a growing visual universe. It all belongs in the same world,” says Novul. “I’m French Canadian, so I wanted to bring a little French into the record too and make that part of the flavor. It’s glamorous, chaotic, a little ridiculous and just fun. Go out with your girls, stay out until 6 AM, or stay home, turn the music up and make grilled cheese in the kitchen. Who cares? You’re the party. And honestly, who doesn’t love grilled cheese?”
