Brooklyn indie rock band Dogs on Shady Lane today shares, “Find You,” the second single from their debut full-length album, Knots, arriving September 25 via Lauren Records.

“Find You” winds up like a music box before slipping into hypnotic guitars, restless percussion, and a trance-like bass line. Written about a period of dissociation, the song follows the search for connection through old belongings and familiar spaces – memories that feel close enough to touch, but difficult to fully reach. Crisp vocal harmonies and a lilting flute melody give way to a fuzzed-out breakdown, turning the song’s quiet disorientation into something heavier and more visceral.
Across eight songs, Knots documents Dogs on Shady Lane’s gradual evolution from Hall’s intimate solo recordings into a fully realized collaborative band. Songs about queer love, family, memory, and changing relationships unfold with a lived-in looseness, capturing both the tenderness and friction that come with trying to stay connected to people, places, and past versions of yourself.
Recorded over several years and engineered at Big Nice Studio, Knots brings together the many versions of Dogs on Shady Lane that have existed since songwriter and guitarist Tori Hall began the project in 2018.
Monstercat continues its 15th anniversary celebration in collaboration with NCS by introducing the launch of ARE WE DREAMING, a new electronic project from iconic composer Brian Tyler. His debut single, “Godlike” marks the first chapter of an ambitious audio-visual universe that brings together Tyler’s cinematic sensibilities with the palpable energy of electronic music. Drawing on his experience across nearly 150 feature films, ARE WE DREAMING has been built as a fully realized audio-visual world, extending Tyler’s creative vision beyond the music itself. He directs, edits and creates the visual effects for the project, bringing the same cinematic perspective that has defined his work in film into an immersive electronic experience.
“‘Godlike’ has been a journey to bring to this point. Now on the brink of the full ARE WE DREAMING rollout, it feels fitting that the first version of this song was how I opened my set at Lost Lands a few years ago. Since then, the song has evolved into something much bigger—a journey through time and space, power and emotion, awe and epic scale through the story of what I have directed visually to go with the song: the story of the “other,” the unknown,” said Brian Tyler. “Is this about an incoming foe from another dimension? Is it here to help us? The visual story is an important aspect to the song which is stylistically akin to science-fiction. I wanted to encapsulate all of that in a song that hits hard and get heads banging, while also having moments that make your eyes well up. Through the years as a film composer, now approaching my 150th film, I’ve spent my career using music to help tell other people’s stories. “Godlike” marks the beginning of a new era for me: making music and visuals to tell my own story. I hope you all enjoy this track, I had a blast making it! And I’m excited for you to experience what’s to come – the music, the visuals, and the world of ARE WE DREAMING.”
LA’s rising dark pop artist, Ella Boh, has released her searing dream-pop cover of “Careless Whisper.” A crowd-pleaser at her live shows, she takes the George Michael hit and morphs it into something entirely different. Discussing today’s release, Ella shared, “‘Careless Whisper’ is one of my favorite songs of all time so I started covering it on tour. My fans have not left me alone about it since, so I’m finally dropping the studio cover as my gift to them for selling my first headline tour so quickly.”
At the end of July, Ella released the BLURRY (DELUXE EP) via Bamboo Artists, announced her headline tour, and made her debut Lollapalooza performance. indie pop eccentric and British flâneur Daniel Pickard announces his debut album Behaviour, released independently on October 23 via AWAL. Made-up chronicles, fantastical visions, astute observations, and sensual dance breaks made up this provocative new record, which aims to expose the glint of absurdity and unpredictability in the eyes of every man who chooses to stand in front of his mirror. The announcement comes with the release of “Heartbeats the Flaw”, a sensual new single tracing the euphoric highs and catastrophic lows of romance to a nonchalant, French-touch groove. It comes with a stylish visualizer that, like its star, never promises a straightforward story.
“‘Heartbeats the Flaw’ is a song about loyalty and the lack of assurance of it,” adds Pickard. “It’s the romantic swooping of highs and lows, set in a seductively frantic room, a disco of playful gestures and anxiety. Inspired by French Touch with its sensibility and funky groove, it’s a nonchalantly sensual mood that is painted with emotional discourse and conflict.”

Hailed by UNCUT upon its original release earlier this year as “an album of timeless, unforced beauty,” Celestun – Deluxe Edition includes three additional songs including “Windy and Warm,” premiering today at all DSPs and streaming services. Recorded at Broemel’s Nashville studio, “Windy and Warm” is widely regarded as one of the most beloved pieces for fingerstyle guitar players, composed more than 60 years ago by John D. Loudermilk and popularized though classic renditions by Chet Atkins, Doc Watson, Tommy Emmanuel, and others.
“It’s a song I have been playing for a long time — it seems to evolve somehow, as most intricate instrumentals do,” says Tyler Ramsey. “But playing it with Carl took it to a whole new level.”
the Cleveland psych rock band Radderall (co-founded by Zach Taneyhill and Jonny McAllister) return with a brand new single, “Everything is Perfect”, a hypnotic new song that coaxes the listener into a soothing lull, numb to the world outside. Accompanied by a mind-bending music video, the track sees the band expand their sonic palette from a shimmering synth pop into a textured, discordant, and electric stimulation.
“Everything is Perfect” sees the world falling apart, yet it decides to turn its attention to hypnotic grooves and pleasant sounds. “We were thinking a lot about endless war, media, political conflict and the way we become numb to tragedy when it happens at a distance,” say Radderall about the single. “One war ends, we forget it, another begins somewhere else and eventually it becomes another version of the same story.” Combining country twang guitars with warping vintage synthesizers and seemingly endless drum patterns, Radderall aim to disrupt our complacency with conflict.
The wait is over for MORE THAN YOU CAN GIVE, the highly anticipated new EP from emo punk band Live Well. Consisting of three new songs – “GOOD ONES”, “KIDS”, and latest single “IDK” – originally written six years ago, MORE THAN YOU CAN GIVE marks the band’s first release since their 2019 debut Perfectly Temporary. Turkish-Italian producer, DJ, and multi-instrumentalist Carlita has announced her sophomore album, Telepathy, arriving November 6 via Ninja Tune. The announcement is accompanied by the new single “One More Dance” with Stevie Appleton (one half of duo Collect 200), offering the latest glimpse into a record that widens the scope of Carlita’s club-rooted sound through songwriting, production, and an ambitious cast of collaborators.
Telepathy, as Carlita describes it, is “thinking about somebody or something with no attempt at possessing that thing, only for it to come into your life anyway.” The album is about the kinds of communication that never get spoken: the invisible thread running between a person and their past, between lovers, between someone and the world around them. The record is feminine, driving and groovy, with a dance-pop subtlety as the throughline across the tracks.
Carlita’s records work like perfume: they return to you later, attached to a person or a memory. Telepathy moves a room but stays with you long after, sitting somewhere between a pop record and a night spent dancing in a smoky basement without compromising either side. The album features contributions from SOFI TUKKER, Justine Skye, Malive, Stevie Appleton, Paige Cavell and Cleo Simone.
Liverpool post-punk pioneers The Room present their third album ‘Doom Pop!’, released via 9×9 Records, as well as the video for the album focus track ‘The Room’. Inspired by the strange days in we are living through, ‘Doom Pop!’ explores the rise of authoritarianism, disinformation, war and paranoia. But it equally draws inspiration from science fiction, horror, and cinematic liminal spaces.
Recorded and mixed at Ark Studios in Liverpool, this album was co-produced by Dave Jackson and Steve Powell (Michael Head & the Red Elastic Band, Autour De Lucie, Echo & The Bunnymen).
“We aimed at shorter, sharper, more pop-oriented songs than on our previous album ‘The Telling’, which was a continuous story told in eleven songs without repetition or distinct choruses. The ‘pop’ element mainly harks back to the roots of our music, updating our original spiky, post-punk independent sound with Ethan Kyme’s keyboard stylings. Lyrically, it is a response to the current climate of emerging fascism and paranoia that increasingly colonizes all media,” says Dave Jackson.

Over the past seven years, Chrome Sparks, the project of producer and multi-instrumentalist Jeremy Malvin, has focused largely on collaborations and producing for other artists. Today, he returns with “Sleeper,” an emotionally charged new track featuring Khalid and Jónsi of Sigur Rós. The song offers the first glimpse of his forthcoming album, Ball of Light, due September 11th via Chrome Sounds / AWAL.
Bringing together three singular artists, “Sleeper” unfolds as a sweeping, immersive collaboration with ethereal, otherworldly production amplifying the track’s emotional richness and setting the tone for the album to come.
“Over the last seven years, I’ve focused mostly on collaborations and other artists’ projects,” shares Malvin. “‘Ball of Light’ is me finding myself again.”
For the past decade, Chrome Sparks has been one of electronic music’s most distinctive voices, building a singular world that moves between electronic music, ambient composition and deeply emotional songwriting. Since breaking through with the now-classic “Marijuana,” Malvin has balanced intricate production with rich melody and atmosphere throughout his 2018 self-titled debut album and projects including Goddess (2014) and Be on Fire (2019).
Wonky Logic (aka Dwayne Kilvington) announced his debut album, ‘Mek Do & Mend’, due for release on 11th November via Brownswood Recordings, alongside the new single ‘Strange Attractor‘.
Dwayne has spent the past two decades quietly becoming one of the UK’s most respected musical collaborators. His career has moved comfortably between London’s jazz, electronic and contemporary music scenes, performing and recording with artists including Nala Sinephro, Yussef Dayes, Nightmares On Wax, Shabaka Hutchings, Paul Epworth and Emma-Jean Thackray. Alongside his work as a producer and composer, he’s been musical director for projects with Eddie Chacon, John Carroll Kirby and I.G Culture’s LCSM, scored the feature documentary Zandra With A Zed, contributed music to A24‘s The Smashing Machine, scored by Nala Sinephro, and continues to lead music workshops with young people, refugees and people experiencing incarceration.
Brooklyn-based musician and vocalist Kevin Holliday continues his incendiary run of
form with “Strange” – the latest single and visual taken from his highly anticipated, self-
produced album Garden, dropping on November 10th.
With warm, rich alt-R&B and indie undertones, the intimate yet lively instrumentation
and raw lyricism recalling Steve Lacy or Dominic Fike, “Strange” quickly offers a sonic
glimpse into the world of Garden while signalling an exciting new chapter for the young
artist on the rise. Opening with woozy guitar slides and a rolling bass motif, Holliday
delivers his sun-kissed vocals with typical style and elegance, effortlessly gliding
across the retrofitted vibrations to create a hazy, inviting moment, contrasted only by
the honest, fleeting reflections of his pen.
Speaking on the track, Holliday explains: “The song is really about grief, friendship,
and accepting when someone isn’t in your life in the same way anymore. It’s also
about figuring out what you need from the people around you and being okay with
things changing.”

GRAMMY-nominated global superstar RAYE releases the official video for “Joy.”, her latest euphoric single featuring her sisters and fellow artists Amma and Absolutely.For the video, the three sisters took to the streets of London in a van they named the “Joymobile”, surprising passersby with sunflowers and capturing their reactions as they brought a little unexpected happiness to the capital. Brooklyn-based, German-born artist Charlotte Greve shares “Lighter Blue,” the final single ahead of WATERBODIES, her forthcoming debut album under her own name, out October 2 via New Amsterdam. Arriving alongside a music video by Annika Nagel, the song’s rhythmic mantra lets Greve’s vocals twist and turn as she reflects on the healing power of the creative process, following a period when she felt disconnected from making art. As she explains: “Tiptoeing around, feeling lost and ungrounded because something essential is missing. In that state, doubt about all things arises, making space for insecurity to flourish. The moment music arrives again, suddenly everything makes sense, the path is lit and you can just walk on it. The forever torch, showing you the way to live your life, gifting you melodies that carry you through the day with purpose.” Light blue has been Greve’s spirit color for some 20 years, ever since a close friend assigned it to her.

A tongue-in-cheek take on the pressure to have your life figured out, ‘big nothing’ skewers the strange gap between the person we’re expected to become and the person we are. Beneath its grunge-pop instincts lies a frustration with the endless frameworks, rules, and expectations that tell us what a successful adult should look like. “It’s about coming up short against what’s considered a properly-functioning adult.
