Marvel Studios has unveiled a new trailer for VisionQuest, giving fans another look at Paul Bettany’s return as White Vision while revealing a dangerous new threat involving one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s most notorious villains.
The upcoming Disney+ series will bring Vision’s story to a major turning point, while also serving as the final chapter in the television trilogy that began with WandaVision and continued with Agatha All Along.
The latest footage puts Vision’s identity crisis front and centre. After being rebuilt and separated from the memories and emotions that once defined him, the android continues to question exactly who he is. His search for answers becomes increasingly complicated when Ultron resurfaces.
James Spader once again provides the voice of Ultron, with the character appearing to have unfinished business with Vision. The trailer suggests that Ultron has been quietly working toward a mysterious objective for years, and he now intends to complete what he originally started.
That connection brings the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron back into the spotlight, potentially giving the MCU’s former artificial-intelligence villain a significant role in Vision’s latest chapter.
The trailer also introduces viewers to Jocasta, played by T’Nia Miller. In Marvel Comics, Jocasta is an artificial being created by Ultron, and the new footage establishes her as another formidable presence in the series. She is seen confronting White Vision, adding another threat to his increasingly dangerous journey.
Todd Stashwick also appears as Paladin, a bounty hunter pursuing Vision. With a bounty placed on the android, Vision finds himself forced out of hiding and into a fight for survival.
Another major mystery revolves around Thomas Shepherd, played by Ruaridh Mollica. The young character may have a much deeper connection to Vision than initially expected, with Marvel describing him as a mysterious boy who could be the reincarnation of Vision’s son.
The trailer further explores Vision’s connection to Wanda Maximoff, with glimpses of Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch appearing alongside footage of their past. Ultron’s presence appears to force Vision to confront both his memories and the complicated legacy left behind by Wanda.
Alongside Bettany, Miller, Stashwick and Mollica, the cast includes Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, James D’Arcy, Orla Brady and Emily Hampshire. Star Trek: Picard alum Terry Matalas serves as showrunner, with Marvel Studios executives including Kevin Feige among the executive producers.
According to Disney+, the series follows a rebooted Vision who has been hiding from those attempting to weaponise him. While searching for meaning, he turns to the various artificial intelligences embedded within his programming, including F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H., J.A.R.V.I.S. and Ultron. His secluded existence changes when the bounty forces him to go on the run with Thomas Shepherd.
VisionQuest premieres on Disney+ on October 14, 2026, with its first two episodes.
