Hulu has unveiled the first look at The Land, an upcoming NFL drama from This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman. Starring Christopher Meloni, Mandy Moore, William H. Macy and more, the series is set to premiere on February 15 on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers in the U.S., as well as Disney+ internationally.
Created and written by Fogelman, The Land explores the high-pressure world of professional football, where family rivalries, power struggles and the pursuit of victory collide.
The story follows Danny Roarke (Meloni), the head coach of the Cleveland Browns, who faces mounting pressure after several disappointing seasons. With his job on the line, Danny has one final opportunity to turn the team’s fortunes around. His chances may depend on a newly drafted Ohio State quarterback who happens to be his own son, adding a complicated family dynamic to an already challenging season.
Meanwhile, team owner Hal Durkin (Macy) faces a difficult decision of his own as he weighs which of his two daughters is best suited to inherit control of the franchise. As both families navigate their personal ambitions and professional responsibilities, the stakes extend far beyond the football field. With a passionate fanbase demanding a winning season, the pressure is on to deliver results before major changes threaten the future of the team.
Alongside Meloni, Moore and Macy, the series features Chace Crawford, Sam Corlett, Tanner Zagarino, Chloe Bennet, Bridget Moynahan and Omar Epps.
Fogelman serves as the series creator, writer, executive producer and showrunner. Jess Rosenthal, Kevin Falls and Justin Adler also executive produce, alongside David Ellison, Jesse Sisgold and Jason T. Reed for Skydance Sports.
The Land is produced by 20th Television and Skydance Sports, bringing together family drama and the high-stakes world of the NFL in a story about ambition, loyalty and the pressure to win.
