INsiders Guide: PEACH TREE RASCALS, Leah Kate, Rosie, .wavrunner, Pet Needs, Trevis, Louyah, Davey Harris…

Peach Tree Rascals share their new single “Let U Go” via 10k/Homemade Projects. Laced with breezy melodies, sun-kissed electric guitar and spurts of lovey-dove romance, the track evokes sincerity and adventure, tonal throughlines for a group of talented underdogs. It’s the newest single from their latest EP, Does a Fish Know It’s Wet?

Coasting over a carefree beat, the genre-blurring collective describe a seesawing relationship: “My baby calls, but she never gets a hold of me/She’s out the door, wow, she’s been listening/But I never wanna let you go/Never wanna let you go/Never gonna let you go.” The song oscillates between resolute declarations and ambivalence, but it’s threaded by a fundamental call to explore, an instinct that refuses to be dulled by a love life. The video keeps that same energy. In the visual, Peach Tree Rascals shift between a group hangout session and arguments with their respective girlfriends, with said confrontations creating some hilariously intense moments. Combining buoyancy with earnestness, “Let U Go” and its accompanying video offer a jolt of positivity that arrives just in time for the summer.

rising pop punk superstar Leah Kate releases her new single “Twinkle Twinkle Little Bitch” via 10K Projects. Get it HERE.

Alongside the single, Leah Kate also releases the official video for the song. Watch it HERE. Directed by Aerin Moreno [Madison Beer, Sofi Tukker, Olivia O’Brien], the visual takes viewers into a childhood bedroom where Leah proclaims “I can’t believe that I let you come inside my room. Yeah, you broke my heart in two,” before diving into the anthemic chorus, “Twinkle twinkle little bitch. Just another narcissist. Hate your guts you make me sick. I’m so f**king over it,” and even showcasing some of the “hate” comments she has received, brushing them off unphased.

“Twinkle Twinkle Little Bitch” arrives on the heels of 10 Things I Hate About You,” which has now surpassed 95 million global streams, rising to #24 at Pop Radio, and being used in over 580K TikTok videos. Maintaining placement in marquee playlists like Pop Rising and Hot Hits, the song also sits on Billboard’s Global 200 Chart, both the US and Global Spotify Charts, while also holding a spot in the Top 5 of Spotify’s Rock Chart.

singer-songwriter ROSIE returns with her new single, “Something I Hate,” out on Arista Records.

“Something I Hate” is a hauntingly beautiful ballad about trying to overcome lifelong insecurities. ROSIE elaborates on the powerful meaning behind the song: “Creating ‘Something I Hate’ was such a painful yet cathartic experience for me. I’ve always tried to write about what scares me, but speaking on such deep-rooted insecurities such as body dysmorphia and eating disorders was truly terrifying. I hope this song reaches every single person who needs to hear it and that it helps to heal others the way creating it has healed me.”

What you see is what you get with 22-year-old singer-songwriter ROSIE— no filters, no Facetune, no VSCO, no makeup, no bullshit. The New York-native gained a massive online following over the course of the pandemic with her introspective songwriting and refreshing approach to discussing mental health. “I want to be transparent. Everything is exactly as it appears,” she says. “The scale of emotions that everyone feels is such a spectrum. The bad days are equally as important as the good days. Be strong when you’re feeling strong, be vulnerable when you’re feeling vulnerable.”

In October 2021, ROSIE released her debut EP, ‘20mg of Happiness,’ on Arista Records. This Spring, backed by tastemakers like Ones To Watch and EARMILK and millions of eager fans, ROSIE joined Chelsea Cutler for her North American tour.

If you’ve been waiting for the next unhinged group of young artists who are here to tell you to fight for your right to party, then look no further. .wavrunner (pronounced wavrunner) are Jack Wesley, younger brother JJ and Griff. Jack and Griff met as second graders in Cleveland, USA after realizing they were kindred, mischievous spirits. They first bonded over their shared passion for choice four letter words…. A decade later, Jack and Griff are just as fun-loving and cheeky in their roles as co-lyricists for .wavrunner with Jack handling lead vocals, Griff as co-vocalist and JJ who creates the beats and arrangements. The guys age from 18 to 20 years old, and are chaotic, fun, and unapologetically ambitious.

Confirmed for release on 9 September 2022 (via Xtra Mile Recordings), the record promises to be everything it says on the tin and arrives as the rapid follow-up record to last year’s acclaimed debut effort ‘Fractured Party Music’.

‘Primetime Entertainment’ is preceded by its first official single, out now,  “Get On The Roof”, is a dazzling, multi-faceted weapon of a track that unfolds its complexity of features like a punk-rock swiss-army knife. Corkscrewing through a barrage of pumped-up power-chords, sidewinding solos, and blitzkrieg key-changes, Johnny Marriott leads the charge in a track packed with uproarious vocal chants guaranteed to raise any roof.

“Let’s get on the roof and listen to something cinematic, let’s ignore the truth like none of this is problematic!” goads Johnny, tongue firmly in cheek.

“Aspects of his Nordic background remain, illuminated by the glitzy glow that Stateside sounds can offer.” – CLASH

Referred to as ‘impressive’, ‘intriguing’ and ‘one of the industry’s new major players’ from the likes of CLASH and Notion Magazine, Norway-born-and-bred Californinan Trevis, releases ‘Avenue’ to make a trilogy of singles for 2022 so far.

STREAM/DOWNLOAD: TREVIS – AVENUE

From sitting in the studio sessions of super-producer Harmony Samuels and the BOE camp (credited with hits for Mary J. Blige, Ariana Grande, Chip, Ciara, Chris Brown), to the creation of his own music, Trevis is building a clear picture of who he is as an artist with his current run of music. His style gravitates to his mood and experience, rather than being confined in a genre space, and the unquestionable quality from Trevis is something he is proving time and time again. Qualities learnt, and self-taught, from the unique access he has had in watching master craftspeople at work, Trevis is inspired from the soul and has mastered how to bring the best out of his creative spurs of inspiration and lay it down in a record.

Staten Island-born singer-songwriter and producer, Louis Attillio Vigorito, better known as Louyah, has proven his versatility as an artist unlike any other. Raised in Southern New Jersey, he entered the music scene. As a teenager, Louyah was a vocalist and guitarist in popular metal bands, and after multiple successful years, he is breaking away from the metal mold and pursuing an extensive solo career that has garnered him fans across the globe.

Following the success of his debut EP released through Loud Era Records, Louyah’s music continues to evolve into an eclectic fusion of alt-pop, rock and melodious R&B. His latest single “Peter Pan” resembles exactly that. Blessing prospective listeners with intricate vocals, rebellious riffs and must-hear melodies, his viral social presence and eager fans are sure to see this release sore in success.

“Peter Pan” encapsulates Louyah’s ambition to live a life where you are unapologetically yourself. He states, “Peter Pan is honestly a shot at the labels. I’ve been ducked/pushed and always set back as an artist. I’ll never let anyone judge me for what I am and who I’m supposed to be. It’s fine they don’t want the music now. I’ll keep pushing and making my dreams come true!”

“My influences are the ones who surround me” states Louyah, however Young Pwavy, Kevin Boris, Gervs, Dakun and Nick Zullo are up there when it comes to musical inspiration. Having already racked up an impressive array of streams, and social media engagement hitting the millions, we are sure to see even greater things from Louyah in the coming months. Receiving over 9000 pre-saves in one weekend alone, “Peter Pan” is sure to be a hit with fans.

Eclectic musician, accidental and multi-instrumentalist, Davey Harris, brings sharp perspective to climate change with his new track , “PNGN DNCE,” due out June 16, 2022.  Harris spent ten years performing with the band The Tins before breaking off to embark on his own solo career. His first singles “Self Saboteur” and “Predictable” garnered attention from critics and fans alike. His unique style reflects a desire to produce experimental sonic atmospheres amidst deeply internal messages. His new single “PNGN DNCE” was inspired by a conversation at SXSW with a friend who’d recently traveled to Antarctica. Watching the world melt in real time, and the effect it had on the life on the continent, put the dire need for change front of mind. Harris was immediately inspired to return to the studio to craft a message about the crumbling landscape, penguins, and our need for change.

Davey Harris’s “PNGN DNCE” launches into a psychedelic wonderland, reminiscent of artists like or the Arctic Monkeys. Lively and transcendent, it captures an uplifting feeling while preaching to a different reality entirely. As Harris deep vocals climb over the bubbling instrumentation, he warns us of the coming rapture or potential end of the world. Of the track, he said “I like the idea of a cute penguin song, but inside is a warning about the end of the world.” Wild synths merge with a rhythmic bass, rumbling listeners closer to the end of the world we’re so desperately ignoring. Buried in musicianship and layers of sounds, Harris begs us all to take a look around and start making a change.

Boasting a raw-chic aesthetic that has captured critical acclaim across the likes of CULTED and CLASH MAGAZINE, and with YouTube recruiting her for their recent International Women’s Day campaign, Eugénie’s magnetism is steadily redefining the dynamic of contemporary pop. With sounds showered in euphoric textures and a striking aesthetic coveted by the fashion world, including key performances with Chanel, Eugénie continues to reach new heights in her creative evolution as she embarks on her biggest project release to date.

Moving like a coherent body of sound, the 6-track ensemble effortlessly fuses spacey instrumentals with sharp, synthetic production that places Eugénie’s euphoric vocal in a celestial, dystopian blend. With records blending textures of UKG and DnB, Eugénie invokes a complex retelling of her life experiences detailing the ongoing struggles with heartbreak, lust, vulnerability and self-expression that we face every day – Eugénie’s introspective, potent wordplay remains a significant strength across the project. Opening with the conceptual mellow-futuristic gem “Blue”, the EP quickly shifts with unrelenting kinetics and unorthodox vocal melodies across immersive tracks “4D”, “Tears For Breakfast” and “Don’t Speak”. Then finally transcending into a sweeter soundscape with her stunning hit track “Silence” – a true showcase to the French creative’s genre-fluid aptitude while rounding off a remarkable project that firmly places her as one of the most exciting prospects in the pop sphere.

Over the course of four spellbinding albums, Cub Sport wrote songs that turned unease and anxiety into something ecstatic. But does that always have to be the way? On their new release ‘Always Got The Love’, the venerated Brisbane four-piece find power in pure joy. Powered by an effervescent 2-step beat and frontman Tim Nelson’s radiant falsetto, it’s a beatific entrance into a new era of Cub Sport.
