“‘Clarity’ is for the true yearners. As you all know, we’re lover girls for real! And we can attest that all we truly want is for the love that our hearts desire to be as clear as possible. Especially, when you know your worth and you don’t want to waste your time carrying avoidable emotional damage,” the sisters share.

Global Afropop trailblazer Adekunle Gold has unveiled the striking and stylish visual his brand new single ‘Coco Money’, an energetic celebration of success, freedom, and resilience. Watch the visual HERE.
Directed by Perliks and Edgar Esteves for Nouvelle Films and Blank Square, the captivating, black & white visual brings another powerful dimension to the buzzing song and affirms Adekunle Gold’s position as the trailblazing, innovator and style icon that he is. To mark the release of the visual, Adekunle Gold will team up with The Macallan to host an intimate celebration in Lagos tonight.
Following the success of his heartfelt ballad ‘Obimo’, ‘Coco Money’ flips the tone with an infectious, sun-soaked anthem that blends vibrant Afro-fusion production with AG Baby’s signature lyrical confidence. Produced by Nigerian talents Niphkeys and Seyifunmi, the track cleverly incorporates a sample of the iconic line from Rihanna’s “Bitch Better Have My Money,” recontextualized into a bold, rhythmic refrain. The record radiates joy and self-assurance — a soundtrack for those who’ve earned their shine.
‘Coco Money’ also breaks sonic ground with the use of the traditional Elegbe call-and-response riff — marking the first time an artist has woven this distinct cultural motif into a modern Afropop single. The riff, which is deeply rooted in Fuji music traditions, adds a raw, percussive urgency that nods to the genre’s Yoruba street origins. Layered with rich orchestral and violin flourishes, and set against pitched, electronic vocal textures, the production creates a lush, genre-blending soundscape that feels both ancestral and futuristic.

Silverstein unleashes one of their most ambitious singles yet with “Drain The Blood”, featuring Rory Rodriguez of Dayseeker. Out now via UNFD, the track arrives alongside a gripping new video, watch here.
“Each time I start making an album I have a self-imposed rule: I can’t abandon my first idea. Whatever I start on day one, I have to finish. Usually the song ends up in the trash, but this time it was ‘Drain the Blood,’ which is my favourite song of the entire project – maybe our entire career,” shares guitarist Paul Marc Rousseau.
“The premise of the song is very simple: keep your AI out of my art. I wanted every part of the song to feel unexpected and a little out-of-context. Irrational and human. Like, an AI would have never made these choices. The lyrics are irreverent and over-dramatic, but only time will tell if they’re completely science fiction.”
He continues: “My favourite moment of the song is when Rory enters with ‘Can I be honest now? I don’t see a way we get beyond this hell.’ The line just feels so right with him singing it. It’s like he’s the voice of reason and even he feels defeated by technology. He almost goes through the five stages of grief and recaps the whole concept in 20 seconds.”
“‘Drain the Blood’ is our response to the growing fear that machines are starting to replace what makes music (and other art) human. It’s a warning, a cry of resistance, and a reminder that emotion can’t be automated,” adds front man Shane Told. “We wanted the video to reflect that, so Rory and I got together in LA to shoot it in this strange, creepy studio that felt like something out of Severance or Black Mirror. Then we took it to the LA River, channeling the gritty, dystopian energy of Terminator 2. It felt like we were capturing some of the scariest possibilities of the future – the kind where creativity gets stripped of its humanity. Rory brought such a raw energy to the track and the shoot. It made the whole vision come alive.”

Long Island bred and current Brooklyn resident Leanne Gallati is an emerging star to familiarize yourself with. Gallati studied musical theatre at Rider University, but always felt her style was more geared towards pop rock. With this in mind, her solo music contains a perfect entanglement of pop and theatrical moments.
Having various different musical styles under her belt, Gallati decided to pursue a solo career in 2022. Before synthesizing music on her own, Gallati acted as lead vocalist for the funk rock unit Cosmonaut Radio. Artists that definitively shape Gallati’s solo material are Lake Street Dive, Lawrence, and Rubblebucket. In addition to Gallati on vocals/keys, the project is composed of Josh Santiago (guitar), Austin Deyo (drums), and Eric Wharton (bass/background vocals).
Looking forward to connecting! Let me know if you enjoyed the new track and would be down to run a review, feature, or track/video premiere.

Produced by Dani Castelar (Paolo Nutini, REM) and Gavin Fitzjohn (Manic Street Preachers, Amy Winehouse), the track marks a bold new chapter for the Irish rock artist.
Irish rock artist Ivan Nicolas unveils his latest single, “Voodoo Love”, a hypnotic, emotionally charged anthem that captures his signature blend of cinematic soundscapes and raw lyrical intimacy. Produced by acclaimed producers Dani Castelar and Gavin Fitzjohn, the track arrives as a powerful evolution in Nicolas’ artistic journey.
Rooted in timeless songwriting yet pulsing with modern edge, “Voodoo Love” showcases Nicolas’ ability to channel vulnerability and urgency into something deeply resonant. From the first beat, the track builds with a restless energy—layering atmospheric textures with a soulful vocal performance that cuts straight to the core.
“I loved the process of Voodoo Love, from writing it in one sitting to working with Dani and Gav on the recording and production,” says Nicolas. “There was an electricity to the whole thing—it just felt right.”
Known for his emotionally driven approach and expansive sonic palette, Ivan Nicolas has steadily been carving out a space in the indie-rock landscape that’s both uniquely his own and universally moving. “Voodoo Love” is more than a single—it’s a statement of intent from an artist stepping confidently into his stride.

Irish folk quintet Some One’s Sons return with their eagerly anticipated new single, “Paddy O,” on August 8th. The song is a spirited folk anthem about the struggles of an immigrant labourer, weaving together themes of exploitation, solidarity, and defiant perseverance. This modern folk tale channels the energy of a sea shanty, laced with a sharp, sarcastic edge.
Written by Daniel Allen and Greg Dunne, “Paddy O” tells the story of an Irish worker toiling under harsh conditions, facing unjust treatment from the ganger man who withholds pay and exploits desperate labourers – all while deepening his own pockets. Through repetition of the chorus, “Keep the mixer going Paddy O,” the song adopts a socialist call-and-response, both rallying the workers while underscoring the biting irony of exploitation.
The narrative unfolds as the workers unionise, standing firm against threats of a quick dismissal: “You keep this up your notice will be handed”. The victory is celebrated in the song’s lively finale, where Paddy O raises a glass and the spirit of resistance spreads across the land. This blend of humour, history, and heartfelt storytelling reflects Some One’s Sons’ signature approach to Irish folk, balancing tradition with modern relevance. Their latest tune echoes the wit and grit of Poor Paddy and Paddy on the Road, while carrying the protest-song spirit of Pete Seeger.
Known for their powerful live shows and evocative songwriting, the Mullingar five-piece have sold out headline gigs across London, Liverpool, and Dublin. They’re now in the thick of their summer tour, headlining the Fleadh Cheoil Gig Rig on release day, followed by a much-anticipated performance at Electric Picnic.
The single was first teased to audiences during a sneak peek on Ireland AM live on St. Patrick’s Day, adding to the anticipation for what promises to be one of the band’s most compelling releases yet. The song that gave the Sons their TV debut was, remarkably, written over two voice notes.
“Paddy O is a song about the struggles of an immigrant labourer, rising up against exploitation when unity is threatened” says Daniel. “It’s a celebration of resilience and a call to keep going, no matter the odds.”

After a short hiatus, Retirement Party, the Chicago indie-emo project of songwriter Avery Springer is clocking back in. Today they share comeback single “Sixth Sense,” the first look at forthcoming EP Nothing To Hear Without A Sound, out August 28.
LISTEN: https://lr-d.ffm.to/sixth-sense
“Sixth Sense” is ironically about taking a step back from performing. “I first wrote this song in 2018 and funny enough, it is about someday moving on from pursuing music,” Springer explains. “Maybe life will move slower, but I’ll be happy for everyone,” sings Springer amidst twinkly emo guitar riffs and driving drums, capturing the bittersweet emotions associated with taking a pause from your passion.
Nothing To Hear Without A Sound marks the project’s first release without the original lineup that fueled cult-favorite LPs Somewhat Literate and Runaway Dog. Recorded with engineer/producer Simon Small (The Front Bottoms, Pool Kids) at Chicago’s Type One Studios, the four-tracker shows Springer stepping confidently into full-band architect mode, handling every instrument except drums by Sam Brown. “This EP is the start of a new chapter of this band,” Springer says. “I like to think of it as my ‘adult’ chapter, since I was 18 when I started Retirement Party.”

Chloe Navarre emerges from the backlit static of America. They’re known for collaborations that blur the line between regional cryptid lore and cult legend—most notably with Phil Thomas Katt, Pensacola’s underground pop oracle, and the spectral Southwestern collective THE GRIN LINES. Together, they’ve channeled transmissions that are at once genuine, serious, funny, and deliberate. Navarre never sacrifices atmosphere for affectation, maintaining a playful, open-minded approach to songwriting that favors intuition over pretense.
