Rina Rain is a Bay Area-based meditation trainer with over twenty years of experience in mindfulness, career and personal development. She is also a mantra artist (Rina Rain) and meditation guide sharing peace, devotion, and healing through music. Blending soulful vocals and ancient mantras and modern soundscapes, she creates songs that inspire inner stillness and connection. Her voice carries the essence of tranquility, each chant unfolding like a soft prayer, a return to presence. Rooted in sacred repetition and silence between the notes, Rina’s voice invites listeners to slow down, breathe, and come home to themselves. Through simple, spacious sound and guidance, she channels frequencies of peace, remembrance, and quiet transformation. Her sound is not performance, it is a threshold.

Her debut track Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu serves as the first glimpse of her forthcoming album Whispers of Rain, an album created for contemplation and deep peace. She shares, “‘Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu’ was the mantra that opened my voice and my heart. This track is my prayer to help ease suffering in our minds, in our hearts, and for all beings everywhere, at all times. My wish is for this mantra to soften what feels heavy and awaken a deeper sense of belonging in everyone who listens. May we remember that we are all connected, and none of us are walking this journey alone.”

Her track “Om Tare Tuttare Ture Soha” is a prayer for liberation from suffering and protection from fear. The Buddhist Mantra in Sanskrit invokes feminine Green Tara, the embodiment of compassion in action. Good to practice when seeking  protection from fears, inner or outer, and a path toward freedom.

Rina Rain’s latest single “Om Mani Padme Hum” is a tranquil and transcending mantra. Rina shares, “The track is a mantra whose ancient wisdom continues to deepen the longer I sit with it. The union of the jewel in the lotus represents compassion, love, and wisdom, and each time I return to this Sanskrit phrase it guides me toward inner freedom. The slow, steady repetition opens space for presence and insight, eventually rising into a faster rhythm – a realization that the jewel we seek has always been within us. When I recorded this track, I truly felt as if I were singing into the vastness, into the quiet of the void, where sound, thought, and feeling slowly dissolved into silence.”

For over two decades, Rina has held space for healing through mindfulness, coaching, and creative expression. Her music is a meditation. It’s an invitation to slow down, breathe, and return to the heart.

The wait is over! Four-time GRAMMY Award-nominated global superstar RAYE today announces that she will release her highly anticipated sophomore album on March 27th via Human Re Sources. The album is titled THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE. and available for digital and physical pre-order now on her official store HERE. The album, set in 4 “seasons” with each side of the vinyl being a different season, takes listeners on a sonic journey that begins with darkness and ends with light.

RAYE says: “Music is medicine, I’ve always said that. I guess I’m in the process of making medicine for myself that I can share with the world. I want us all to say to ourselves that it’s going to be all right, and I’m going to have faith in the seeds that I’ve planted beneath the snow. I wanted to create something that is a hug, bed or soft place for that person who needs it.”

Mary Ocher has spent two decades developing a fiercely independent voice shaped by displacement, political rupture, and life on the cultural margins.

Born in Moscow to Jewish-Ukrainian parents and raised in Tel Aviv during political and religious turmoil, she learned from a very young age that questioning authority was a means of survival-and that it came at a hefty price.

At 20, after refusing the draft, she left for Berlin. She became a central underground figure, known for work that is as politically lucid as it is creatively unbound: releasing records with political manifestos, making DIY films, performing in national theaters and museums, as well as queer sex clubs.

Admired by Karen O (Yeah Yeah Yeahs), Animal Collective, and Sean Lennon, and having collaborated with the likes of Mogwai, King Khan, Julia Kent, Felix Kubin, Die Tödliche Doris, and Roberto Cacciapaglia, she is respected for fearless experimentation.

Her new album, Weimar, marks a decisive shift. Long associated with art-punk exploration, Weimar sees her strip everything back to piano and voice – revealing a songwriter whose candor, clarity, and emotional precision speak far beyond the avant-garde. Themes of divorce, grief, domestic violence, and rebuilding appear with rare directness, offering what is arguably the most accessible – and revealing – portrait of the artist yet.

“In the midst of the pandemic, I left my now ex-husband, and finally I was able to fulfil a long-term dream and get my own piano,” Ocher says. “The new pieces were written on it. The last track is a home recording – played on that piano, which is from around 1870.”

On their upcoming single “Proper Job”, Micko & The Mellotronics channel the sound of the 70s and provide another look at their forthcoming third album, ‘The Trinity’.

In January, Micko & The Mellotronics are set to return with their new single “Proper Job”, which finds Micko examining class and creativity over a 70s-inspired soundtrack. Borrowing its title from a phrase passed down from parents to kids in the quest for a stable lifestyle, the track considers the kinds of work those from more privileged backgrounds are less likely to perform, and the resulting dominance of middle-class kids in the arts.

In the first couple of verses, Micko cites Larry David and Brian Eno, the latter of whom once stated, “I think as soon as you can release people from the absolutely grinding poverty that so many people are in, you give them the chance, the space to think and the space to get themselves out of a bad situation.”

Micko explains that both David and Eno were advocates of social security, which allowed them some time to develop their work as artists. Now that’s largely gone, their experience suggests a broader subtext of class related issues in relation to ‘the creative life.’” Later in the song, Micko shifts the setting to a building site, to working unpleasant jobs, and to being spoken down to when finally finding a job you thought you might enjoy.

“These experiences of mine shaped the song,” adds Micko, “However, even with all its pitfalls, living an ‘alternative’, artistic life is still one I wouldn’t trade for any other, so there’s also a joy expressed within.” Musically, the track boasts a retro glam feel thanks to lead guitarist Paul Cuddeford (Boomtown Rats), backed by powerhouse classic-rock rhythm section made up of Jan Noble and Budge Magraw (both Ex-Cesarian). Executive producer Chris Kimsey (Rolling Stones) was also key to the track’s 70s vibe.

Naarm/Melbourne based singer-songwriter Anna Smyrk lets down her walls with ‘Skin Thinner’. The new single is here ahead of her debut album ‘Spectacular Denial’ which will be out on the 20th of March via Community Music

Glasgow’s indie-rock force Vanderlye kick off the year with emotional intensity on their new single, One Way Train, which will be released on Wednesday 21st January. This will be followed by a headline show at the iconic King Tut’s on Saturday 24th January, showcasing the band’s powerful and evocative sound.

The track is a haunting meditation on longing and unrequited connection, drifting through late-night streets, fleeting memories, and the haze of over-indulgence. It channels the ache of seeing intimacy around you while it remains just out of reach—a journey through nostalgia, melancholy, and the fragile hope for something more, anchored by the evocative metaphor of a love that moves in only one direction.

Sean reflects on the headspace that shaped the song: “At the time of writing ‘One Way Train’ there was an inherent melancholy in my mindset. I found myself looking at past relationships or relationships around me through rose-tinted glasses, or through social media, which feels like a fabricated keyhole into reality. I wanted the verses to feel meditative, seen through the eyes of an observer, and for the music to feel cinematic, almost like a narrator within the song.”

He continues, “When the chorus hits it feels like this huge release, a moment of catharsis after all that reflection. It’s the point where the tension from the verses opens up and the emotions spill out.”

Musically, ‘One Way Train’ delivers everything listeners crave from a modern indie-rock staple – soaring melodies, earnest lyricism, and that unmistakable Vanderlye emotional punch.

The single arrives on the heels of a breakthrough year for the band. Following the release of their debut EP ‘The Reckoning’ last May, Vanderlye have taken their bold, infectious sound to stages across Scotland, steadily building a devoted audience drawn to their raw energy. ‘One Way Train’ follows Vanderlye’s recent single ‘Blackout Sky’, the first taste of their upcoming EP ‘Dystopia Calling’, arriving in 2026 and set to reaffirm Vanderlye as one of Scotland’s most promising new indie acts.

“A band so hypnotic, they should come with a health warning… Imagine Britpop in a leather jacket colliding with grunge that hasn’t washed its hair in a week, and you’ve got Vanderlye.” – Angela Canavan, The Golden Bough

“…their voices work so well together…this dynamic really helps to separate Vanderlye from the pack…a band you should buy your stock in now.” – Jake MacFarlane, Hive Magazine

“One of the best parts of this song is the build into the final chorus… creating a real tear-jerking atmosphere.” – Kimmi Naidoo, Northern Exposure (Romantic Anarchy review)

Formed in late 2023, Glasgow’s Vanderlye blend anthemic indie rock with politically charged lyrics and expansive, atmospheric soundscapes. Their striking male–female dual vocals add emotional depth and a unique edge, shaping a sound that is as cinematic as it is immediate.

In just a short time, Vanderlye have made a serious impact. They’ve hit the Amazing Radio Top 10, been named Artist of the Week by Scotland on Sunday and were selected as one of Resonate Scotland’s Artists to Watch for 2025. Their six singles have earned international acclaim. Guilty Lovers & Heartbreak Serenades won Single of the Year at the 2024 Unsigned Music Awards, beating over 9,000 entries. Terrible Comfort and This Plastic Ego were long-listed for SNACK Magazine’s Scottish Single of the Year and 2025’s Romantic Anarchy received a 9/10 from Northern Exposure.

Their debut EP, The Reckoning (May 2025), became their most successful release yet, scoring a perfect 10/10 from Hive Magazine and surpassing 40,000 streams on its title track. Live, Vanderlye have matched their studio success, packing out Tenement Trail with queues running out the venue.

Brooklyn-based, multi-faceted artist Kevin Holliday (he/they) opens the year with ‘Hotline*’, a fluid and expressive new single that blends hip-hop, R&B, jazz textures and soulful vocals into a sound that feels both intimate and expansive. Warm, rhythmic and quietly magnetic, the track sets an assured tone for what’s to come, offering a bright moment of release to the new year.

‘Hotline*’ is available now on your streaming service of choice via APOLLO Distribution.

Singer-songwriter-guitarists Tyler Ramsey and My Morning Jacket’s Carl Broemel are thrilled to release Celestun, their debut collaborative acoustic effort, on their own Duo Quest Records via Tone Tree Music. The new project places Ramsey and Broemel’s juxtaposed guitar-playing styles and training front and center to create rustic beauty and atmospheric power.

“The songs unfold with patience and warmth, simple in structure, rich in mood, moving at the pace of a Sunday drive with no urgency and plenty of room to absorb the scenery. Broemel’s classically informed touch pairs beautifully with Ramsey’s nimble fingerstyle approach,” writes Copper (PSAudio)Creative Loafing adds that the album features “shimmering songs that capture a graceful, unhurried Laurel Canyon vibe,” while Blueridge Outdoors describes it as “guitar tranquility.”

The pair’s initial objective had been to record an all-instrumental album, but the natural flow of the sessions led the duo to begin incorporating vocal tracks, “Nevermind,” “Sail Away,” and “Flying Things ft. The Secret Sisters. Over the years, both Ramsey and Broemel had previously worked with The Secret Sisters, a.k.a. GRAMMY® Award-nominated duo Laura Rogers and Lydia Slagle. Broemel contributed pedal steel to their 2010 cover of Johnny Cash’s “Big River” with Jack White, while Ramsey toured and sang harmonies with them on a rendition of Crosby, Stills & Nash’s “Wasted on the Way” in 2024.

Ramsey takes lead vocals on his heartwarming “Flying Things,” a tender lullaby written for his 11-year-old daughter. “Early in her life, we would read her bedtime stories – we still do – but there was a really sweet and beautifully illustrated book that we found, it was called Dream Animals and it was all about going to sleep and then riding on these magical creatures in your dreams,” he says. “We started doing this thing where we’d say, well, what’s your dream animal – we call them ‘dream protectors’ – what’s your dream protector going to be? And we’d all pick out which animals we were going to be hanging out with in our dreams. It was just kind of a little magical way to say good night.

“One night, she was three or four, and we all said we were going to be birds. I was going to be an owl, she was going to be a seagull, and my wife was going to be a hawk. As I was turning the light off and was getting ready to close the door, my daughter said, ‘We’re all flying things.’ I immediately wrote that down, and I wrote this song for her.”

Chandler (he/they), the rising rapper rooted in Virginia and flourishing in NYC returns with new single ‘please don’t rain on my parade’, a punchy, playful cut that captures the charisma and sharp storytelling that’s quickly making them one of NYC’s most distinctive voices.

Five years in the making, starting on the East Coast in New York and finding its final form on the West Coast in Los Angeles, “Airplane Mode” is Frankie Silver’s personal dance with a toxic relationship and that moment of finally deciding to disengage and hit reset. In a way, that journey mirrors the song’s theme perfectly—it’s about the necessary trip inward to find yourself. The lyric, “Trying to be someone that wasn’t me… I just didn’t love me,” is the raw and heartbreaking admission that starts the healing process back to self-love. “Sometimes, the first step to finding your silver lining is being honest about the storm,” shares Silver. Driven by a punchy beat and an uplifting melody, “Airplane Mode” pulls people into a quiet corner, detaches them from external pressures, and focuses on personal growth. The repeated line, “Turn on airplane mode, I just wanna be alone,” is a bold declaration of wanting to escape the madness and find peace in the world. “This song is my anthem for digital and emotional escapism. It’s about that overwhelming need to hit ‘pause’ on the noise. Whether it’s a draining relationship, social pressures, or the constant buzz of expectation.” He adds, “Healing isn’t always about pushing forward; sometimes, it’s about pushing pause. It’s in that quiet space we create for ourselves that we gather the strength to face the chaos and turn it into something powerful.” “Airplane Mode” was produced by Matthew Joshua Hall, known for his work with Nicki Minaj and Lil’ Wayne. The mix was crafted by Grammy Award-winning mixer Ken Lewis (Eminem, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, fun.).

Throughout the track, Genevieve confronts her truest inner world and powerlessness, pouring every regret and desire as a raw and unfiltered self-revelation. Stream “Everything I Never Said” on all digital platforms worldwide.

Opening with an easy, rhythmic groove and narrative form, “Everything I Never Said” invites listeners into Ren Genevieve’s most private reflections. Built around a series of candid “I hate…” confessions, the track unravels moments of remorse and painful realization that some things can never be changed, turning them into a compelling monologue. “The song explores the impossibility of changing the past while finally confronting what was truly felt, the impact of a person, the intensity of desire, and the sting of regret,” Genevieve shares. With each repetition of “If you think this song’s about you, it probably is,” sharpens to a reckoning, as Genevieve addresses the person who shaped both her longing and her heartbreak. Approaching the finale, a quiet, stripped-back moment emerges, with softened instrumentation and subtle synth textures that express the tender nuances of Genevieve’s inner self, evoking the helplessness of facing the past and the weight of hidden emotions. Written and composed by Genevieve and produced alongside Grammy Award-winning producer Joshua Monroy (Justin Bieber, Elton John, OutKast), “Everything I Never Said” portrays Genevieve’s inner truths with striking clarity and depth, setting the stage for the first chapter of her forthcoming EP.

• The duo continue building momentum following “Lay Your Head on Me,” which sparked a TikTok hand-dance trend with now 17.4k+ user creates and has accrued nearly 1.5 million Spotify streams.

After a year spent traversing the country – both as an opening act and as headliners – NYC’s Bandits on the Run welcome 2026 with a new single, “Am I Your Mirror?,” ahead of a string of performances at the annual Folk Alliance International conference in New Orleans, Louisiana. LISTEN HERE.

“As Bandits, we’re really interested in the space that exists between people who really love each other. So much is possible in that space- it’s fluid and infinitely creative,” Regina Strayhorn shares of the inspiration behind the new single, “At its worst, that space can feel like a hall of mirrors. A disconcerting maze full of false selves that makes relating feel like a nightmare. But at its best, that space is a window into what some would call the divine- a place to marvel at the dance souls can have with each other when they’re not trying to wear the same shoes and step on each other’s feet. ‘Am I Your Mirror?’ is about that dance.”
