The hardest part of ending is starting again.

That idea sits at the heart of UNSHATTER, a new documentary that chronicles Linkin Park’s extraordinary journey through loss, friendship, creativity and reinvention. Directed by the band’s own Joe Hahn, the film will arrive in select cinemas worldwide from Wednesday, September 30, 2026, with tickets now on sale.

Tickets and participating cinema information

Featuring Mike Shinoda, Joe Hahn, Dave “Phoenix” Farrell, Brad Delson, Emily Armstrong and Colin Brittain, UNSHATTER offers an intimate look at one of rock’s most influential bands as they confront an uncertain future and discover a new creative chapter.

Starting Over

Following the devastating loss of vocalist Chester Bennington, Linkin Park entered a seven-year hiatus, leaving the remaining members to navigate an immense personal and creative void. UNSHATTER follows what happened when those musicians began finding their way forward.

The film traces the band from intimate studio sessions in 2022 through the release of their FROM ZERO album and their explosive concert in São Paulo. Along the way, the arrival of new members Emily Armstrong and Colin Brittain brings a fresh perspective and renewed energy to the group.

Rather than simply documenting a comeback, UNSHATTER explores what it means to rebuild something that has been profoundly changed by loss.

Rare archival footage, candid interviews with the band and fans, and performances from sold-out shows combine to create a portrait of Linkin Park at a pivotal moment—looking back at their history while attempting to create something new.

From the Vault to the Stage

The documentary promises a mix of personal moments and large-scale performances, offering audiences a glimpse behind the scenes as the band reconnects creatively and prepares to step back into the spotlight.

The story culminates around the FROM ZERO era and the band’s São Paulo performance, capturing the scale and emotion of Linkin Park’s return to the stage.

For longtime fans, the film also provides an opportunity to revisit the band’s history through rare footage while experiencing its newest chapter alongside the musicians who lived it.

A New Live Soundtrack

The cinematic experience will be accompanied by The Unshatter Film Soundtrack (Live in São Paulo), scheduled for release on September 25, 2026, five days before the documentary reaches cinemas.

Pre-order The Unshatter Film Soundtrack (Live in São Paulo)

The soundtrack spans Linkin Park’s career, bringing together live performances from across their catalogue as performed in São Paulo. It will also feature exclusive recordings that do not appear in the film, giving fans another way to experience the band’s return to the stage.

Together, the documentary and soundtrack capture both sides of Linkin Park’s latest chapter: the deeply personal journey behind the music and the explosive live performances that brought that journey to audiences around the world.

UNSHATTER Arrives September 30

For a band whose history has been defined by reinvention, UNSHATTER presents a particularly significant moment. It is a story about moving forward without leaving the past behind—and about discovering that starting again does not necessarily mean starting from scratch.

UNSHATTER opens in select theatres worldwide on Wednesday, September 30, 2026.

Tickets are on sale now, with participating cinemas and additional locations being announced through the official film website.
