INsiders Guide : PUSHER & Caroline Kole, Xav A., MAWD, alextbh, BAYNK, Derek Sallmann

PUSHER & Caroline Kole: Toronto based producer PUSHER has released a brand new track with singer Caroline Kole, it’s a dance collaboration destined for the charts. Receiving high praise from media outlet Earmilk, the new single titled “BTDT” premiered on the tastemaker site and topped Spotify Canada’s NMF playlist. Caroline Kole spoke about her collaboration with PUSHER saying; “I’ve been a fan of PUSHER’s for a long time, and after he did an incredible remix of my song ‘What If,’ we decided to create some entirely new music together,” Kole explains. “‘BTDT’ was a lot of fun to write, and I’m so excited that PUSHER and I get to put this track out into the universe and even play a few shows together in the coming months.”

PUSHER’s euphoric sounds come from his expert craftsmanship, being no stranger to success, his previous material has racked up over 19+ million streams on Spotify alone and has seen him touring alongside Zeds Dead, Grandtheft, and Keys N Krates. Caroline Kole is a Nashville based singer-songwriter that recently made the jump from country to pop. She’s performed along side superstars such as Reba McEntire, played The Ryman, and even had her own videos at the top of CMT charts. Now these talented artists have combined to create this month’s dance chart sure fire hit.

MAWD – “Wandering Eye”: We’ve featured this incredible artist before on “The Guide” and now she’s finally dropped the epic video for her single “Wandering Eye”. MAWD has been featured in such publications as LADYGUNN, Earmilk, LA Weekly, The Line of Best Fit and Live Nation’s One’s To Watch. Be sure to check out this 70’s inspired video below. MAWD is currently working with Gisborne and Cave producer/songwriter Josiah Mezzaschi on her second EP set for release in 2019.

Xav A.: R&B/Pop artist and producer Xav A. shot to fame when he appeared on NBC’S hit show ‘The Sing Off’. Now the talented artist has released his new self produced single called “Old Milk”. Xav A. musical endeavor began in 2011 after being featured on season 3 of NBC’s hit show ‘The Sing Off’, winning second place during the same season as the well-known group Pentatonix. Now his fun dance track “Old Milk” hopes to bring back the 90’s vibe of hip hop that was instilled by artists like Will Smith and MC Hammer. Xav A. spoke about the meaning behind this new track saying, “I was watching a lot of reality TV where I saw women staying in relationships where they knew the man was doing them wrong. I thought to myself, why do men not encourage their women to leave when they know they’re doing something wrong? This song sort of explores the idea of telling a woman that the man she is with is no good for her. Women deserve that from us I feel.”

alextbh – “Still Mine”: Malaysian artist alextbh has released the official video for his new single “still mine.” On the video, Alex describes, “Soon as I was done producing the song, I knew I had to incorporate visuals. Just like the song, I want the video to depict an almost palpable sense of pain and loss, even though it’s tranquil at first look. It’s chaotic, but it’s also calm. That is how I felt about this guy — he wouldn’t reciprocate so I had a war in my mind, but he never knows“.

“Still Mine” is a great mixture between pop and R&B, creating a blend that is iconic, unique and beautiful. Watch the video below.

BAYNK – “Settle”: NOISEY summed this track up perfectly when they simply said “Surefire Banger”. We’ve become huge fans of this artist here at OLC! and much to our anticipation BAYNK has released his brand new collaboration with UK artist and vocalist Sinéad Harnett on the track “Settle”. The new track has BAYNK bringing his signature pop and electronic vibe, combined with the stunning vocals of Sinéad Harnett, makes for a sensuous single. “Settle” is an incredible follow up to the artists first release “Be In Love” / “Years”, which was released earlier this year.

Derek Sallmann: “Love, Future You” is the brand new track from this native of Waukesha, Wisconsin. Co-written with LA songwriter Kyler England (who also contributes background vocals on the song), is a love letter to yourself, displaying not only powerful lyrics but an atmospheric hook that’s bound to catch the attention of any listener. This beautifully produced indie-pop single is a small spark that has started a bright future for Derek Sallmann.
