“Liar Liar” is this highly anticipated new single from actress/musician Peyton List. Peyton is set for her biggest year yet. The 20-year-old media darling has appeared on magazine covers, in national fashion ads, starred in feature films and has even hosted an event at the White House. People may recognize this rising star as Emma on Disney’s “Jessie and Bunk’d“, but her venture into the music world with the single ”Liar Liar” uncovers a Peyton we have yet to discover.
“Liar Liar” is a pop anthem with infectious melodies and storytelling lyrics. “Liar Liar” tells the honest story of a boy that’s done her wrong, but she’s still hung up on him. ”Liar Liar” is set for release on Dirty Canvas, home to American Authors, Young Rising Sons.
22-year-old Belgian artist AMERY released an intimate and vulnerable r&b track entitled “You Know”. When I heard this song for the first time it gave me goosebumps, and left me speechless on just how gifted AMERY was. AMERY has previously been praised by ELLE France, Buzzfeed, OkayAfrica, PopCrush and even sir Elton John who compared his voice to Marvin Gaye’s.
Produced by James Lowland, the single allows the artist to fully express and embrace his vulnerability. “You Know”, evokes the vicious circle resulting from the fear of letting yourself be seen and be loved, with every rejection adding up to the emotional baggage for the next relationship. AMERY spoke of the new song saying;
“I’ve been in a situation where I was too confident that I could pursue a relationship with someone. We spent a lot of time together and quickly got to know each other profoundly so I personally thought we could become an item. And when I finally mustered up my courage to get out of the friend zone, I hit a wall. I was disappointed and feeling hopeless because I was convinced we were good for each other. I regret that the person in front of me wasn’t ready to let their guard down to accept this romantic and committed love. You Know acknowledges the idea that true love calls for vulnerability but also that, paradoxically, being rejected just magnifies a bit more your fear of opening up.”
Pop/psych artist Polartropica has finally released the new video for her single ‘Wild Lyfe’. The single see’s Polartropica excel at what she does best, creating playful instrumentation and dreamy soundscapes, topped off with her incredible vocals. The visuals narrate how we are all the same underneath our facade and that we need to treat all creatures with kindness and respect.
