Brooklyn artist Chloe Lilac has announced the release of her highly anticipated debut EP entitled “Manic Pixie Dream”, due out March 8 via RCA Records. Alongside the announcement, Chloe released the EP’s title track as a brand new single. Describing the new single, Chloe notes, “The manic pixie dream girl trope is very frustrating to me and that’s what this song is about. It’s an unattainable standard for women. I was finding that the people I was dating expected me to be a manic pixie dream girl instead of a real, complex, multi-dimensional person.”
Ruben Young is an emerging, independent R&B/Pop artist & songwriter from Calgary, Canada. He cites a wide range of influences from Marvin Gaye, to Anderson Paak, to Amy Winehouse. In 2017, Ruben released his first three singles independently. His efforts generated over two million streams, and earned him a place on stage as direct support for international artists such as The Chainsmokers, Nelly, Akon and Classified.
