I got the opportunity to talk to this rising artist;
Tynee, welcome to OLC! So tell me how did you develop your passion for music?
I developed my passion for music hearing it family wise from a young age and going on YouTube listening too a lot of bassline/grime back in 2012-2013 then I decided to try and write my own music but it was never good.
Who we’re some of your musical inspirations growing up?
Some of my inspirations growing up was Depzman, Sox, K.B, Jaykae and a lot of these Birmingham grime artists I grew up listening to.
Do you remember the first song or album you bought that made you say this is what I wanna do?
I used to listen to a lot of the Birmingham based artist like Depzman, which made me start writing bars and recording freestyles so it was from there really.
You have a massive following on Instagram, how important is social media to you in regards to your career?
Instagram is a key factor within my music right now, I’m doing a challenge for my new tune ‘Gets Like That’ where all my supporters who can rap can jump on the beat and get involved in the challenge, where I will then give the winner a prize. This helps me and my audience engage and they get to know me more as a person, the winner will also get to meet me in person, meaning I get to connect personally with my supporters.
You have a new single out called “Gets Like That”. What inspired this song and how did your collaboration with Carz come about?
‘Gets Like That’ was made because my last single “RaRa” with OFB Munie I done a challenge with this song and the winner was in fact Carz who is on gets like that at the time he was 14 and his bars were hard on the RaRa challenge, which made him stand out to me in the end he won so I gave him prize money and I decided to bring him into the Duzdis music group which then we made the song gets like that.
Who’s someone you would love to collaborate with given the opportunity and why?
UK wise I’d like to collab with Mist, USA wise NBA Young boy because his too versatile so any genre could get done.
Do you have any plans to release an EP or LP?
Yes I plan on releasing an EP this year called Myohmy the EP which will have a few collabs on there with London and Brum artists and even foreign artists.
What’s been the most memorable moment so far for you during your career, and what made is special to you?
One of the most memorable moments in my musical career is for a music video I made a post about what schools should I turn up to for a music video and a lot of schools got big votes when I turned up hundreds of kids were going crazy and this all is on my Instagram and out on a music video called “Swear Down”.
Any more live shows planned? and if so where can people catch you?
There’s a few inquiries which will happen in summer sometime but not confirmed as yet, so can’t really put it out there as yet but keep checking on my socials.
