Contemporary R&B superstar PARTYNEXTDOOR has released ‘R e s e n t m e n t’ – listen HERE – kicking off the rollout of his upcoming new album PARTYNEXTDOOR 4, due for release this summer. The album continues the narrative PartyNextDoor brought to life 10 years ago with his debut PARTYNEXTDOOR 1, and continued with his subsequent albums.
The persona of Jahron Brathwaite, PARTYNEXTDOOR finds the Mississauga-born, Toronto-based artist refining a low-key, hip-hop-inspired form of contemporary R&B that has drawn natural comparisons to fellow Canadians Drake and the Weeknd. No stranger to featured appearances himself, the singer, songwriter, and producer has lent his skills to a handful of Drake cuts, as well as tracks by the likes of DJ Khaled, Beyonce, Kanye West, Post Malone, Big Sean, Summer Walker, Lil Yachty, Rihanna (most notably “Work”), Major Lazer, and ZAYN. The first artist signed to Drake’s OVO Sound label, Brathwaite debuted in 2013 and soon notched hit singles, “Come and See Me”, “Break from Toronto” and “Not Nice.” His albums have also charted high, including Top Ten Canadian and U.S. debuts for 2016’s PARTYNEXTDOOR 3 and 2020’s PARTYMOBILE. The latter was quickly followed by PARTYPACK, one of his many supplemental EPs. Earlier this year he released the single “Her Old Friends” and performed in a headlining slot at Lovers & Friends festival in Las Vegas. He has amassed over 6.3 billion streams on all platforms, 14.5M monthly listeners, 4.3M followers on Instagram, 1.5M followers on Twitter, and 1.5M subscribers on YouTube.
