Viswanathan’s versatility extends beyond comedy. She delved into drama with the 2019 coming-of-age film “Hala”, where she delivered a poignant performance. Her portrayal of Rachel Bhargava in the crime drama film “Bad Education” garnered critical acclaim at the Toronto International Film Festival, earning her two Emmy nominations.

Her journey from Australia to Hollywood is as captivating as her performances. At the age of 15, she and her family relocated to Los Angeles, California, where she embarked on her quest for stardom. Her determination paid off, and she secured roles that showcased her immense talent. In 2018, The Hollywood Reporter recognized Viswanathan as part of its “Next Gen Talent” list. Viswanathan’s heritage is a beautiful blend of cultures. Her father, Suresh Viswanathan, is of Indian Tamil descent, while her mother, Anja Raith, hails from Switzerland. Raith, once an aspiring actress herself, runs an acting school called Anja’s Place. Geraldine’s upbringing was filled with love for horses and animals, a passion she carries to this day. At just four years old, she appeared in a Kodak television commercial. Her journey continued with roles in projects like “Emo the Musical” and her involvement in casting rooms as a reader. Her big break came with “Blockers”, catapulting her into the spotlight.
