Chelsea Cutler, the 27-year-old American singer, songwriter, and producer, has carved her unique path in the music industry. Born and raised in the picturesque town of Westport, Connecticut, Cutler’s journey from SoundCloud covers to chart-topping hits is nothing short of inspiring.

Cutler’s musical odyssey began with acoustic instruments during her childhood. However, it was in high school that she transitioned into producing electronic music. At Pomfret School in 2014, she started sharing her covers and original compositions on her SoundCloud page. Her passion for music continued during her college years at Amherst College in Massachusetts, where she balanced varsity soccer with her SoundCloud uploads. In 2017, Cutler’s songs, including the captivating “Your Shirt,” gained significant streams. Collaborations followed, with artists like Louis the Child, Ayokay, Kidswaste, and Kasbo. Her record deal with Ultra Records marked a turning point, leading to her first EP, “Snow In October.” Cutler’s independent mixtapes, “Sleeping with Roses” and “Sleeping with Roses II,” showcased her raw talent and resonated with fans.

In 2019, Cutler signed with Republic Records, solidifying her place in the mainstream. Her joint EP with friend and label-mate Jeremy Zucker, titled “brent,” featured the heartfelt single “You Were Good to Me.” The duo performed it live on The Today Show, leaving an indelible mark. Cutler’s collaboration with Kygo on “Not OK” further propelled her into the spotlight. January 17, 2020, marked the release of Cutler’s debut studio album, “How To Be Human.” The album’s singles, including “How To Be Human” and “Lucky” (featuring Alexander 23), resonated with listeners worldwide. Her performance of the lead single, “Sad Tonight,” on Late Night With Seth Meyers introduced her to the Billboard Mainstream Top 40 airplay chart.

Cutler’s journey continues with her third studio album, “Stellaria,” released in October. This album delves deeper into her emotions, exploring themes of love, vulnerability, and self-discovery. As she embarks on a tour to support “Stellaria,” fans eagerly await her live performances, including myself in my city of Perth, Western Australia.

Stellaria her third studio album, Cutler transcends mere music, weaving a mantra that invites listeners to cherish the present and find beauty in the overlooked. In a world that often rushes past the small moments, Stellaria encourages us to pause. Cutler’s delicate vocals guide us through starry-eyed love in “Your Bones” and the raw vulnerability of “I Don’t Feel Alive.” Each track is a gem, urging us to appreciate life’s intricacies. Inspired by luminaries like Florence + The Machine and Coldplay, Stellaria balances electronic beats with acoustic warmth. From the ethereal vocalizer in “you’re all i ever dreamed of” to the soft guitar chords of “Hotel June,” Cutler’s sonic palette is both expansive and intimate.

Since her 2021 album, When I Closed My Eyes, Cutler has matured lyrically. On Stellaria, she takes the reins, producing or co-producing 13 out of 15 tracks. Her growth as a producer shines, making this album leagues ahead. Cutler’s involvement in production sets her apart. It’s not just about sound; it’s about authenticity. She crafts her universe, layer by layer, infusing each song with her essence. The result? Music that stands alone, a testament to her unique voice.

Stellaria is a celebration of the mundane—the sunrise glimpsed through a window, the warmth of a shared smile. Cutler’s journey mirrors our own, reminding us that life is a mosaic of good, bad, and everything in between. The album’s two-year creation process taught Cutler to embrace discomfort. She found solace in the present, cherishing the journey. Stellaria isn’t just about music; it’s about living fully.

Chelsea Cutler’s Stellaria is more than an album; it’s a transformative experience. It invites us to dance under the stars, feel the pulse of existence, and savor life’s delicate moments. So hit play, close your eyes, and let the stardust settle—it’s time to immerse yourself in Stellaria.
