Director Zack Snyder has officially signed on to direct the upcoming UFC movie titled, Brawler. Snyder will be partnering with Dana White‘s popular mixed martial arts company. Brawler will be directed by Snyder, who is also co-writing the screenplay with Shay Hatten and Kurt Johnstad. All three wrote the screenplay for Rebel Moon.
“Behind every great fighter is the story of how they got there,” Snyder said in a statement. “UFC is the world leader in combat sports, and I’m honored to be partnering with them to tell this incredible story.”
The story will center around a young fighter “from the rough streets of Los Angeles, who gets a shot at a UFC championship, battling his inner demons as he fights for redemption.”
