Pop band The Aces today release “Twin Flame,” the latest single from their upcoming record Gold Star Baby. Opening like a subtle ballad, the song unfolds layer by layer into a full on, glitter-glossed disco groove. Meant for spending a night on the dance floor sweating out the memory of someone you just can’t shake, The Aces have already declared this summer their own — Stream.
The Aces also today announce the Gold Star Baby World Tour with support from Lydia Night, of The Regrettes. Artist presale begins on July 21 at 10 am local. Local presale begins July 23 at 10 am local, with a Spotify presale the following day at the same time. General on-sale for all tickets begins on July 25 at 10 am local. Ahead of their headline tour, the band will play at both All Things Go Festivals in New York and Washington DC. All tour information can be found here and below.
On the new single, the band shared, “‘Twin Flame’ is about that tortuous in-between of not wanting to let go, but knowing you need to. This song also has a strong Latin influence from the guitar line to the bridge in Spanish. With half of us being Latina, we really wanted to express that part of who we are through this song.”

as1one – the first Israeli-Palestinian pop group – released their latest song “Together As One,” along with the official music video via AWAL. In the video, the group is unified on beachfront sands, dancing to the beat that carries the song’s message of togetherness and keeping faith. Directed by Marc Klasfeld, the record is a feel-good dance tune produced by Oak Felder and lil aaron. Check it out HERE.
“‘Together As One’ was born from a desire to lift spirits in a time when the world feels heavy,” said as1one. “Working on this song and video reminded us to keep our heads held high — not just for ourselves, but for the people we love. We hope that when others hear it, they feel a sense of connection and inspiration — a reminder that they’re not alone.”
The new song arrives on the heels of as1one’s sophomore single re-release “Stranger 2025 Version,” and following an exceptional debut year for the group. They burst onto the scene in September 2024 with their first single, “All Eyes on Us,” which featured the legendary Nile Rodgers and was recorded at the historic Abbey Road Studios in London.
Their sophomore single, “Stranger” followed in November, and quickly thereafter Paramount+ released the four-part documentary series AS1ONE: THE ISRAELI-PALESTINIAN POP MUSIC JOURNEY. The series, now streaming, chronicles the group’s formation, creative process, and brotherhood over a five year period of becoming as1one, the next global pop group. Up next, the group will return to the UK mid-September for a special performances tour in colleges and universities throughout Scotland, Ireland and Britain following a hugely successful school tour earlier this year.
Formed in the summer of 2022, as1one – Aseel Farah, Nadav Philips, Neta Rozenblat, Niv Lin, Ohad Attia, and Sadik Abu Dogosh – was conceived following an extensive nationwide effort led by veteran industry hitmakers and music entrepreneurs James Diener and Ken Levitan, who respectively signed and developed Maroon 5 and Kings Of Leon.
After a rigorous training process, the sextet relocated to Los Angeles where they began writing and recording with some of the industry’s elite, including producer heavyweights Nile Rodgers (David Bowie, Madonna, Daft Punk, Beyoncé), Jenna Andrews and Stephen Kirk (BTS’ “Butter” and “Permission To Dance”), Oak Felder (Demi Lovato, John Legend), Justin Tranter (a go-to co-writer for Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Imagine Dragons and Chappell Roan), and Tommy Brown (Ariana Grande, The Weeknd).
As reported in the group’s Billboard Digital cover feature in late 2023, as1one arrived in Los Angeles on October 6th, 2023, one day before the start of the Israel-Hamas war. Despite being deeply affected by the news and ongoing conflict, the group, composed of Israeli-Jewish & Palestinian-Arab members, haven’t let anything obstruct the brotherhood they have built over the course of their time together. Through the collective power of music, the group is overcoming barriers and hopes to inspire new generations to do the same, a sentiment more important now than ever before.

Up next from their forthcoming album Heavy Pulp, rock band The Technicolors today release “First Class to Nowhere.” Pared back in comparison to some of their recent releases, there’s a sense of tenderness to this track’s naked vulnerability. Featuring guest vocals from Madison Cunningham, lyrics are effortlessly traded back and forth, creating lightness in the song’s atmosphere — Stream.
The Technicolors’ Brennan Smiley opened up by saying, “For whatever reason I’ve noticed a pattern where I’ll attempt to write a song directly for someone close, or with that specific person in mind, and it almost always turns out that I’m actually writing it to myself just the same. That’s what this song ended up becoming; a sort of ‘get well soon’ card to myself and to that person and to anyone. While a lot of other songs on the album take a different approach — hiding behind masks or playing different characters as a way of revealing something else, it was important for this song to feel as naked and vulnerable as possible and to risk that level of honesty. I’d be lying to myself if I said that came easy.”

the GRAMMY-nominated rock band I Prevail announced their fourth studio album Violent Nature set for release September 19th via Fearless Records. They also released their third single off the record, “Rain” with an accompanying music video.

Rising indie-alternative artist isitjosh has released the official music video for “life of the party,” featuring longtime collaborator JR Graves. The track is a fan favorite from his debut album A Collection of Short Stories About the Heart, which dropped on May 30th.

Icelandic pianist and post-classical composer Eydís Evensen releases her third single from her upcoming album, Oceanic Mirror to be released October 10th on XXIM Records.
“Dimmuborgir” features beloved Icelandic singer-songwriter Ásgeir. “His voice is so ethereal and magical, and I remember thinking what a dream it would be if he sang one of my poems,” reflects Evensen. Writing a poem the night before their session together, the piece came into being in under an hour. Lyrically, it was inspired by the late Irish musician Talos who was a friend of Evensen’s whom she also taught piano briefly. Evensen was stunned by his passing, and “Dimmuborgir” is an invocation of her lost friend. It’s about life beyond death; powerful kings returning to ancient stars. “Even though an individual has passed, you can always feel their presence. We never actually leave. Our bodies may disappear but our spirit remains,” she notes.
She also recently announced a series of international tour dates, inviting audiences to experience the music live. You can find tickets here.

hip-hop history is reborn, as Rakim, widely regarded as The God MC and one of the most influential lyricists of all time, returns with the announcement of a new project The Re‑Up. Setting the stage is the powerful first single, “Not To Be Defined”, featuring Detroit-based, global hip-hop artist Lazarus (who is also a board certified physician, and featured in the U.S. Library of Congress for being the first artist to premiere a song from outer space—check your googles), and produced by Dem Jointz (of Aftermath Entertainment). “Not To Be Defined” is a monumental union of legacy and lyrical mastery.
A recent recipient of the Peabody Medal (the first ever rapper to receive the prestigious award) which he graciously accepted as commencement speaker for the 2025 Peabody conservatory graduation ceremonies at Johns Hopkins University (where Ra also received an honoree degree), for an artist who has seemingly done it all, “Not To Be Defined” marks a first in Rakim’s storied career, as it’s the first time he has worked with a Detroit emcee. Together, Rakim and Lazarus bridge generations and cultures, delivering a bar-heavy anthem that defies trends and reaffirms hip-hop’s timeless essence.
“You can’t put me in no box, I am not to be defined.”

Indie rock group Breakup Shoes is excited to announce their forthcoming album, Standing Still. Set to be released on October 10th, Standing Still was produced by Charlie Brand (Miniature Tigers). Stream lead single “Brainwash” now, here: https://sndo.ffm.to/jjdpq0j and watch the music video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3BBJqz8K7fc.
“The album chronicles the story of my last few years, centered around feeling dissatisfaction in the status quo,” explains guitarist/vocalist Nick Zawisa. “It grapples with feeling unhappy and complacent, stuck dreaming of uprooting my life, which I ultimately did.”
Zawisa continues: “Standing Still was produced by Charlie Brand (of Miniature Tigers) who we found a great sonic match in, and was hugely influential to us. Alongside the help of new band members, he helped craft an album that expands the horizons of the Breakup Shoes sound while keeping the confessional lyricism front and center.”
About lead single “Brainwash”, Zawisa adds: “’Brainwash’ is a song rooted in self-loathing. Although it’s adorned in upbeat, indie-sleaze inspired, catchy-pop sounds; at its core it’s about wishing you could erase your memories to take another stab at becoming a “better” version yourself (whatever that means). Whether it’s ridding yourself of bad habits or certain personality traits we’ve internalized, the lyrics romanticize the idea of beginning again.”
