INsiders Guide: Truman Sinclair, ABSOLUTELY, The 4411, JADA KINGDOM, Bradley Jago…

Truman Sinclair has shared Rivers of Sugar and Blood – his first EP for Capitol Records/Polydor Label Group, and the follow-up to American Recordings (his acclaimed 2025 debut album). The self-taught musician, who began writing and performing at age eight, wrote, produced and recorded each of the EP’s six songs and plays many of the instruments. Listen to Rivers of Sugar and Blood HERE.

“Rivers of Sugar and Blood is about depression and ups and downs and how the actions taken in those moments affect friendships and life,” explains Truman Sinclair“I think it is so hard to simply keep your head these days.”

Sinclair’s slack vocals, cinematic storytelling and raw yet fully realised recording approach shine on new track, ‘dust to dust’. Blending warmth with clear-eyed candour, he sings, “Driving in the desert going 135 / I can feel the anger right behind your eyes / You got a palace built in your mind / You can be mean / You hurt me sometimes.”  Trumanadds, “‘dust to dust’ is a song about growing up and watching friends around you win and lose, and the tenderness and coldness that comes with that.”

Singer, songwriter, and producer Absolutely officially announces that her highly anticipated sophomore album Paracosm will be released on February 20, 2026, via Epic Records. Alongside the release date, she today unveils the album’s striking official artwork — a visual extension of the immersive, cinematic world she has spent the past year meticulously constructing.

Pre-order/pre-save Paracosm HERE.

“I had to relearn how to create the way I did as a child — without rules, without fear,” Absolutely explains. “Once I tapped back into that freedom, the world of Paracosm opened up completely.”

A kaleidoscopic mix of pop, electronica, jazz, and R&B, the album features previously released singles Goodbye Glitter,” “I Just Don’t Know You Yet, and No Audience,” each offering a window into the record’s emotional and sonic scope. From the viral, piano-pounding transformative catharsis of “I Just Don’t Know You Yet” — which sparked standing ovations on tour and millions of TikTok views this past summer — to the cinematic introspection of recent single “No Audience,” praised by Rolling Stone as “an invitation to create purely for yourself,” Paracosm cements Absolutely as one of the most compelling new voices of her generation and 2026’s de facto artist to watch.

Critics have lauded Absolutely’s ambition and world-building, with publications like British Vogue and The FADER tipping her as one of this year’s most exciting new forces in music. In a recent Flaunt Magazine cover story, the outlet praised how she “moves to her own pulse, effortlessly unique, imbued with her own sense of artistic self,” adding that “her artistry is strikingly and distinctly able to bend the parameters of where alt-R&B and contemporary pop meet—their intersection, in Absolutely’s terrain, is smeared in anything from classical to apocalyptic, electronic synths.”

Wonderland recently celebrated the upcoming Paracosm as “cinematic, haunting, and unafraid of its own drama,” while Dazed praised her “transcendent sound” and “surreal, childlike world-building approach,” which  Interview Magazine noted as “dreamy, cathartic, and floating.” Nylon summed it all up succinctly: “Absolutely has mastered the art of the powerhouse vocal.”

Emerging Austin, TX four piece band The 4411 share a beautifully restrained meditation on time, distance, and friendship on their  new single ‘Sweet July’. As sweet as the title suggests, the song is built on warm guitars and fragile vocals, evoking the feeling of a late nostalgic evening – beautiful, fleeting, and already slipping into memory.

Jada Kingdom has never been interested in playing by anyone else’s rules. Today, she releases her most fearless and conversation-shifting project to date, Just A Girl In A Money Man’s World, out now independently via her imprint Kingdom Mab. Get it HERE today.

The EP captures a woman who understands the systems around her, money, desire, power, and chooses to move through them on her own terms. Rather than rejecting or romanticizing those dynamics, Jada studies them, challenges them, and bends them in her favor. Rooted in Caribbean storytelling and informed by global sound and culture, the project positions her not simply as a participant in the conversation, but as a force actively shaping it.

Across six tracks, Just A Girl In A Money Man’s World traces an evolution from awareness to agency, using musical history as conversation rather than nostalgia. The EP opens with “Still Searching,” a reflective reinterpretation of a 2001 Damian Marley classic that signals discernment and preparation. That perspective is flipped into control on “Maxine,” inspired by Chaka Demus & Pliers’ 1992 staple “Murder She Wrote,” one of dancehall’s most enduring records. The clarity hardens into boundaries on “Don’t Talk To Me,” built around a I Just Wanna Love U (Give It 2 Me) sample by The Neptunes and Jay-Z and produced by Di Genius, where confidence without substance is dismissed outright.

Rising queer soul-pop artist Bradley Jago returns with his new single ‘In The End’, a rich and emotionally charged ballad that places his voice front and centre. Dramatic in its delivery and almost theatrical in tone, the track leans into soulful melodies, layered harmonies and bold instrumentation, continuing Jago’s mission of creating “queer soul for queer souls.” Catch ‘In The End’ on local BBC Radio tonight.

Glasgow’s emerging indie-rock force Vanderlye kick off the year with emotional intensity on their new single, ‘One Way Train’. As a haunting meditation on longing and unrequited connection, the track drifts through late-night streets, fleeting memories, and the haze of over-indulgence, channeling the ache of seeing intimacy around you while it remains just out of reach. It’s a journey through nostalgia, melancholy, and the fragile hope for something more, anchored by the evocative metaphor of a love that moves in only one direction.

Chicago songwriter Delaney Bailey is excited to unveil her new album Concave, available everywhere now via AWAL. On Concave, Bailey delivers a striking record that transforms vulnerability into expansive, cinematic songs anchored by her expressive vocal presence. Eleven songs navigate loss, desire, anger, and self-examination through layered production that feels colossal and intimate, framing personal moments against sweeping emotional backdrops. With its heightened sense of vision and atmosphere, Concave captures an artist expanding her sonic palette while inviting listeners into a fully realized inner landscape.

A hazy, animated video for the opening track “How To” premieres today. Reflecting on the track, Bailey explains, “‘How To’ is a song about my fear of developing memory loss in old age. The women on my mom’s side of the family tend to forget things as they get older, and as I’ve reached a stage in my life where I’m living on my own and taking care of myself, I’m constantly reminded that I should be doing things to keep that from happening. Learn now, when you have the time and energy to take preventive measures, before you’ve committed yourself to taking care of a family. I have a genuinely miraculous life, and I shouldn’t waste it waiting, stagnant and scared, for the inevitable to come.”

Emerging West London artist Holly Wilks returns with her melodic new single ‘Box Dye’, the latest release from her forthcoming EP, due later this year. Mellow yet stirring, ‘Box Dye’ unfolds in layers, blending textured indie sensibilities with a pop-leaning core.

Katie Tupper releases her debut album Greyhound via Arts & Crafts. The record is about the instinct to chase–fleeting desires, guaranteed mistakes, the feeling of home, love in all its shapes and forms. It’s already knowing the ending but letting it unfold anyway. Often receiving comparisons to Olivia Dean and Charlotte Day Wilson, Tupper’s smoky alto voice wraps together soul, indie and alternative R&B with just a touch of folky twang. Born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Greyhound will bring the prairie roots of Tupper’s past to meet the blended and expanded worldview of her present — Stream

singer-songwriter psych-poet Gus Englehorn returns with follow-up single and video “Better Watch Your Step” ahead of highly anticipated album The Broken Balladeer set to be released on 27 February 2026.

Gus Englehorn continues to unravel the new record with the jangly rock earworm “Better Watch Your Step” with its bright, playful hooks carrying a subtle sense of caution. Alongside the single comes surreal and whimsical visuals directed and filmed with indispensable collaborator Estée Preda. The video captures the song’s distinct chorus and verse contrast with quirky imagery that jives in sync with the audio shot in 16mm and 8mm film and varied frame rates.

Speaking to their resourceful creative process, Preda shares:

“We like letting limitations guide the direction, and this time space played a central role. Shooting the video at home pushed us to think small, which led to stop-motion as a cost and space efficient way to work within that scale.”

this new single and music video “Diversity” by three beloved national family artists Doctor Noize, The Alphabet Rockers, and  Vivian Fang Liu. The song to be released on Martin Luther King Day, celebrates the love for diverse people and ideas that Martin Luther King, Jr. representedThe colorful collaboration is fueled by their shared passion for and support of diversity of all kinds, and focusing their mutual love of collaboration toward high purpose and production values. Fresh from a breakout year in 2025, the rapid-rising South London native continues to push the sound of contemporary UK drill forward with a new single that ventures deep into the realities of road life and the blurred lines of modern relationships. The result is a high-energy, trademark drill anthem that channels the voice of a new generation.
