Fresh footage from the production of Highlander has recently surfaced online, showcasing Henry Cavill during an action scene. Short clips and photos reveal Cavill riding a motorcycle on set in London, offering fans a new glimpse of the remake. One circulating video, titled “Henry Cavill Filming Highlander on Motorbike,” was shared on February 16, 2026. The day prior, a still image appeared with the caption “A Blood-soaked Henry Cavill on Highlander!” Another post asked, “Here? Or Here?” prompting reactions from viewers, including a comment saying, “I wonder if he’s spotted you yet.”
Director Chad Stahelski has been filming the reboot for several weeks, with Cavill cast as Connor MacLeod. Set photos show Cavill with blood streaming down his face as he prepares to mount his motorcycle. Additionally, images of Dave Bautista have emerged, linked to his role as the Kurgan. Casting announcements have confirmed Russell Crowe will portray Ramirez, alongside Marisa Abela and Djimon Hounsou. Stahelski explained to The Direct, “My pitch to Henry was, look, you’ve got a guy who’s been alive for over 500 years,” adding, “He’s the last person in the world who wanted to be in this situation.”
The screenplay is written by Michael Finch, with Scott Stuber, Nick Nesbitt, and Neal H. Moritz serving as producers. An official synopsis states, “Centuries after his first death on a Scottish battlefield, immortal warrior Connor MacLeod lives quietly in the modern world,” emphasizing the iconic rule that “there can be only one.”
Background details describe a universe where immortals battle across different eras to claim the Prize, with decapitation as the only way to end their rivals. The original 1986 film starred Sean Connery as Ramirez and led to sequels and a television series. Reports also indicate that Bautista once sought the villain role in a 2015 version, which initially involved Cedric Nicolas-Troyan before shifting focus to the current production.
