Teaser: First Look At ‘The End of Oak Street’

The highly anticipated first trailer for The End of Oak Street has been unveiled.
This new sci-fi fantasy film, set to hit theaters across the United States this summer, is distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. Initially known as Flowervale Street, the movie is produced by J.J. Abrams and directed by David Robert Mitchell. The cast includes Anne Hathaway, Ewan McGregor, Maisy Stella, Christian Convery, and more. Like many of Abrams’ projects, the film is shrouded in mystery, with the 98-second teaser trailer sparking numerous questions.

The story appears to center around a street with the extraordinary ability to transport itself to different locations and possibly different time periods. The trailer’s final moments reveal a dinosaur running through the neighborhood, hinting that the street has somehow landed in prehistoric times. According to the official synopsis, “After a mysterious cosmic event rips Oak Street from suburbia and transports their neighborhood to someplace unknown, the Platt family soon discovers that their very survival depends on them sticking together as they navigate their now unrecognizable surroundings.”

The film features performances by Maisy Stella and Christian Convery, alongside Hathaway and McGregor. The project is produced by Mitchell, Hannah Minghella, Jon Cohen, Matt Jackson, and Tommy Harper, with Abrams serving as an executive producer. Additional executive producers include Chris Bender, Jake Weiner, Joanne Lee, and Leeann Stonebreaker.

Director and screenwriter David Robert Mitchell is best known for his 2014 horror hit It Follows. He also directed The Myth of the American Sleepover (2010) and Under the Silver Lake (2018), the latter starring Andrew Garfield.

The End of Oak Street is scheduled to premiere in theaters and IMAX across North America on August 14, 2026.
