First Look At Eli Roth’s Horror Film ‘Ice Cream Man’

The Horror Section has announced the release date for Ice Cream Man, the upcoming horror film directed by Eli Roth, known for his work on Hostel. Along with the announcement, the key art poster has been unveiled, depicting the menacing ice cream truck driven by the film’s villain, accompanied by a chilling warning: “Watch Out For Children.”

According to the synopsis, the story centers on a peaceful summer town that spirals into chaos when an ice cream man begins offering children sweet treats with terrifying consequences. Ice Cream Man is set to hit theaters on August 7, 2026, pitting it against Jane Schoenbraun’s slasher Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma at the box office. It will also premiere in the same month as several notable films, including Anne Hathaway’s The End of Oak Street, Matthew McConaughey’s The Rivals of Amziah King, John Cena’s Coyote vs. Acme, and Jacob Elordi’s The Dog Stars.

The cast features Ari Millen (Orphan Black), Benjamin Byron Davis (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3), Dylan Hawco (Heartland), Sarah Abbott (Black Mirror), Kiori Mirza Waldman, and Charlie Zeltzer (The Handmaid’s Tale). The film also stars Thanksgiving actors Shiloh O’Reilly, Karen Cliche, and Charlie Storey. Director and producer Eli Roth is also part of the cast.

Roth co-wrote the screenplay with Noah Belson, with executive producers including Kevin Frakes, Connor DiGregorio, Eli Massillon, and Lorenzo Antonucci from MCT, alongside Jon Schnaars and Holly Adams from The Horror Section. The film is produced by Christopher Woodrow and Raj Singh of Media Capital Technologies, with Kate Harrison of Cream Productions.

The movie’s score will be composed by Emmy Award-winner Brandon Roberts, with additional music contributed by Snoop Dogg. Grammy-winning rapper Nas, through his Mass Appeal label, will serve as an executive producer. The film will also feature striking prosthetic effects by Steve Newburn and Adrien Morot, adding to its horror visuals.
