Poesie’s ‘Undress Me’: A Fiercely Tender Celebration of Sensuality

featuring @strikeapoesie

Brighton-born, London-based songstress Poesie is carving out a distinctive space on the indie scene with music that is as thoughtful as it is irresistible. Since the release of her 2025 debut single, Hunter-Gatherer, she has emerged as a fierce new female voice, combining catchy melodies and danceable beats with lyrics that explore humanity, ecology and equality.

Now, with Undress Me, Poesie turns her attention to sensuality — and does so with characteristic boldness, wit and warmth.

The third single from her forthcoming EP, Nature Mother, Undress Me is a joyful, sexy and sharply observed pop song that refuses to take itself too seriously. Effervescent and unapologetically feel-good, it is a shameless celebration of desire, intimacy and the simple pleasure of being alive.

At its heart is a groove-heavy bass line and an irresistibly catchy chorus, the kind of earworm that seems destined to get bodies moving. But beneath its playful surface is a song full of tenderness and emotional intelligence. Poesie understands that sensuality can be both exuberant and vulnerable — something to celebrate rather than conceal.

The track’s live drums add another layer of excitement, breathlessly shifting between time signatures without ever losing their footing. The result is dynamic, unpredictable and wonderfully physical, mirroring the song’s restless energy.

And then comes the outro: a repeated, rousing declaration of “I love you!” It lands not as a saccharine afterthought, but as something genuinely cathartic — healing, triumphant and deeply human.

Poesie’s theatrical background is evident in the way she approaches performance. There is an unmistakable sense of drama, movement and presence in her work, making her music feel built not simply to be heard, but experienced. She brings the magnetism of a performer to songs that already possess plenty of personality.

That combination of infectious pop instinct and meaningful songwriting has become central to Poesie’s emerging identity. Undress Me may be her most playful release yet, but it still carries the same spirit of openness and humanity that runs through her work.

The song arrives as the third taste of Nature Mother, which Poesie will launch live at Paper Dress Vintage on 28 October. With its irresistible groove, joyful sensuality and unabashed message of love, Undress Me feels perfectly timed — a fiercely tender pop song for a moment in need of something uplifting.

Come for the bass line. Stay for the “I love you!” And whatever you do, don’t miss the chance to dance.
