George Michael’s legacy as one of the defining voices and songwriters of his generation comes vividly back to life in George Michael: The Faith Tour.
Directed by David Austin and Andy Morahan, the film draws on rediscovered, previously unseen 35mm footage from George’s legendary 1988 performance at Paris’s Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy. Captured during his record-breaking Faith Tour, the concert showcases Michael at the peak of his creative and performing powers.
Expertly restored and remastered, the newly unearthed footage transforms a landmark moment in pop history into a spectacular cinema experience, offering audiences the chance to see George Michael as he appeared at one of the most significant stages of his career.
Opening the feature is Finding Faith, an original short film directed by Mary McCartney. Bringing together newly discovered audio and imagery from 1986–1988, the film creates an intimate time capsule of the Faith era, offering a rare glimpse into Michael’s world and mindset as he stood on the threshold of global superstardom.
