Rising alt-pop/pop-rock artist Piper Connolly has released her new single “Unapologetic,” a defiant, hook-driven track that doubles as both personal manifesto and anthem for anyone tired of shrinking themselves to fit.

Out now, the song finds the Phoenix-bred, Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter at her most direct. Over bright, polished production with a clear early-2000s pop-rock tilt, Connolly declares she won’t change, won’t regret, and won’t apologize for who she is.

The track continues the momentum of recent singles “beautiful life” and “body bag,” and serves as another preview of her forthcoming six-song EP she’s too much!, due September 25.

At a moment when many young artists carefully curate every edge, Connolly’s approach stands out. She writes from the middle of the chaos of growing up—young love, ambition, identity, heartbreak, humor—without waiting for permission or distance. “Unapologetic” crystallizes that stance. It’s not a quiet internal affirmation. It’s loud, catchy, and aimed squarely outward.

For fans who’ve followed her from earlier tracks like “kiss like me,” “welcome back girl,” and “chameleon,” the new single feels like a natural next step: the same sharp hooks and emotional honesty, now focused on self-acceptance as an active choice rather than a soft destination.

Stream “Unapologetic” now and keep an eye out for the full EP next month. Piper Connolly isn’t asking to be understood. She’s simply showing up as she is—and inviting everyone else to do the same.
