Sony Pictures has released the logo and official title for the upcoming new Karate Kid movie. The film will feature the return of Ralph Macchio and Jackie Chan. It is due to hit cinemas on May 30, 2025. Sony has confirmed that the next installment of the franchise will be called Karate Kid: Legends.
In the new installment, Macchio will be reprising his role as Daniel LaRusso, while Chan will play Mr. Han from the 2010 reboot. Rounding out the cast is Ben Wang, Joshua Jackson, Ming-Na Wen, Shaunette Renée Wilson, Sadie Stanley, Aramis Knight, Wyatt Oleff, and Jennifer-Lyn Christie.
