Stephen King’s The Long Walk—featuring David Jonsson, Tut Nyuot, Garrett Wareing, and Mark Hamill—made a striking impact at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con® in Hall H! The event included an electrifying panel with producer Roy Lee and screenwriter JT Mollner, moderated by Eric Vespe and Anthony Breznican, hosts of the Stephen King podcast, The Kingcast.
Kicking off the panel, attendees were treated to a pre-recorded message from Stephen King himself, introducing the debut of the film’s new trailer!
After the trailer aired in the auditorium, the moderators brought the cast onto the stage. Mark Hamill drew attention by opening his jacket to reveal a shirt reading “Based on the novel by Richard Bachman,” paying homage to King’s pseudonym under which The Long Walk was originally written.

During the discussion, the cast shared their experiences of meeting Stephen King, highlighted Mark Hamill’s memorable and chilling portrayal of The Major, and talked about the physical and emotional challenges of walking dozens of miles daily. They also reflected on the camaraderie forged among the cast during this unique filmmaking journey.
The panel concluded with a special message from director Francis Lawrence and star Ben Wang, which introduced an exclusive early look at the first 22 minutes of the film. The footage was briefly interrupted with a disclaimer noting that certain parts would be blacked out for being too intense for Hall H, before the clip played.
