Magnolia Pictures has unveiled the debut trailer for Plainclothes, a gripping romantic thriller that delves into the complex life of an undercover officer caught in a web of duty and forbidden attraction. The trailer introduces a young policeman, portrayed by Tom Blyth, assigned to a covert operation targeting gay men in the 1990s. As he navigates this morally fraught mission, he finds himself unexpectedly captivated by one of his targets, setting the stage for a tense and emotional narrative.
The film is slated to hit theaters on September 19, 2025.

The official synopsis reveals: “During a tense New Year’s Eve gathering at his mother’s home, Lucas, a rookie cop, misplaces a deeply personal letter he never intended to share. As he scrambles to recover it amidst the stifling family event, the search unearths buried memories of a recent past. While working undercover in a mall restroom, Lucas was tasked with luring and arresting men. But meeting Andrew changes everything.
