Universal Pictures has unveiled a new trailer for Disclosure Day, an intriguing upcoming UFO film from Steven Spielberg, starring Emily Blunt and Josh O’Connor.
The official synopsis teases the film’s provocative theme: “If you found out we weren’t alone, if someone showed you, proved it to you, would that frighten you? This summer, the truth belongs to seven billion people. We are coming close to … Disclosure Day.”
Scheduled for release in theaters on June 12, 2026, the new trailer offers a deeper look into the film’s mystery. It depicts Josh O’Connor and Colman Domingo’s characters determined to uncover and share some form of truth, while Colin Firth’s character appears to oppose them. Firth seems intent on preventing the revelation that extraterrestrials are among humans, arguing that such knowledge could incite chaos. Throughout the trailer, we see Firth using advanced technology that allows him to project his consciousness into different locations and interact with others.
The film boasts an impressive, star-studded cast, including Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, Colin Firth, Colman Domingo, Eve Hewson, and more.
Based on a story by Steven Spielberg, the screenplay for Disclosure Day was penned by David Koepp, who has previously collaborated with Spielberg on films like Jurassic Park, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, War of the Worlds, and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Spielberg serves as a producer for Amblin Entertainment alongside Kristie Macosko Krieger, with Adam Somner and Chris Brigham as executive producers.
