After 11 years, Jill Scott does not simply return; she reclaims, reintroduces, and redefines. To Whom This May Concern is not just an album; it is an invitation. Step into Jill’s backyard. Stay awhile. Bring a friend. Sit at the table. This is music meant to gather us—celebrating both our shared humanity and the beautiful differences that make us whole.
Layered in lush jazz textures, resonant bass lines, electric rap cadences, and the undeniable pulse of community, the album feels expansive yet intimate. Jill has never allowed herself to be confined to one lane, and here she colors far outside the lines—effortlessly blending soul, hip-hop, jazz, spoken word, and even house. On “Right Here Right Now,” produced by Om’Mas Keith, she salutes the DJs who have long championed her voice over pounding house beats, proving once again that Jill Scott moves where the spirit leads. “Pressha” is a soul-bearing anthem of liberation and marks Scott’s latest Top 10 R&B radio hit. Rooted in her signature truth-telling, the track confronts the invisible weight of societal expectations — beauty myths, status games, and the pressure to conform.

Solrise Records / Virgin Music Group’s Australian-born, Nashville-based country mainstay Morgan Evans dropped the title track of his upcoming sophomore album Steel Town today – listen HERE.
Written by Evans with Ava Suppelsa and Sam Ellis, “Steel Town” is an ode to Morgan’s hometown of Newcastle on Australia’s east coast. The autobiographical jaunt and album opener includes an interlude of a vintage commercial advertising what Newcastle has to offer, interspersed amid Evans’ lyrics about his upbringing.
I wrecked my first car on Burton Rd
First time I saw life flash before my eyes
On my 18th birthday I fell in the lake
Closest I ever got to being baptized
Drinkin’ VB in the back seat
Of Ben’s yellow Toyota
Some nights I close my eyes and go there
That old light house shining down
Sound of a rowdy home game crowd
The gravel road to my childhood house, in the
The heart of a steel town
They’re out racing V8’s in the streets, and
Counting coal ships from the beach
Part of me will always be,
The heart of a steel town
“Growing up round Newy, as a kid, and a musician, it was a beautiful place, but also a tough place, that built a character and resilience that I’ve taken with me around the world,” Evans shares. “Now, having been in Nashville for 10 years, I have an even greater love and respect for the place that raised me, but also welcomed me home when I needed it the most. On this album, and particularly the title track, I’ve finally found that balance of pride and earnest that I can share and sing with complete authenticity.”

Marking a cinematic, emotionally raw new chapter, ‘f u jonathan’ captures the beautifully awful kind of love that refuses to resolve – excruciating and intoxicating – while battling the seductive allure of lust, heartbreak, desire, self-doubt, and ultimately, self-preservation.
The opening track, “Claw Marks,” serves as a striking introduction to her artistic vision, underscoring her ability to shape feeling and form with precision. Diving into a world of longing, self-doubt, and quiet desperation, the track’s tender melodies collide with immense synth work as panicbaby’s obsession spirals in the face of a cursed love and the destructive aftermath that follows. “other boys are boring” emerges as a confessional immersed in surreal sound waves and bold, piercing lyricism. A visceral melancholy, with shimmering synths and delicate vocals, lingers as panicbaby exposes a past relationship enthralled by toxicity, anticipating the next fleeting connection that will never carry the same infectious ache and magnetism. The whimsical clash of texture and harmony echoes throughout the next track, “avoidant little b <3,” an emotive statement establishes panicbaby’s quiet elegance while balancing strength and fragility.
An arpeggiated harp shines front and centre across “soft prn,” with panicbaby seeking clarity through the turbulence and confusion of a complex yet captivating relationship. Magnifying her transitional period from sabotage to self-reflection, “u made a smart girl dumb!!” and “plague” emerge as pivotal moments of emotional realisation and reckoning – where self-destruction gives way to understanding as she examines the damage left in the wake of her impulses. Closing out with a stunning reconstruction of “Claw Marks (Omnichord Version)” – created on the iconic analog synthesiser from the 1980s – panicbaby effortlessly blends nostalgic elements with hypnotic, new-edge production to create a dreamlike synthesis that feels intimate yet expansive, pushing alt-pop into unfamiliar, addictive territory.
With well over 25M streams and counting, panicbaby has quickly introduced herself as a serious creative force. Earning early support across the landscape from BBCRADIO 1 to Spotify GSA’s Artists To Watch 2026, the young talent has garnered further critical acclaim following her latest single “soft prn” – swift attention from the likes of WONDERLAND, THE LINE OF BEST FIT, COLORSXSTUDIOS, and more. Her music has also sparked a wave of online creativity, with videos using her songs surpassing 2.4B views across social media – underlining her position as a global talent as her universe grows larger, louder, and more self-assured.

We wanted the music video to emphasize that metaphor, with the band playing in a liminal place, bright and surreal, before the mirrors that are reflecting us literally shatter.”

It examines how intimacy is regulated through monitoring and exposure — the constant recalibration of am I giving too much, am I visible enough, am I disappearing? Being seen can make a connection feel real, but it can also narrow it, warp it, and quietly hold it in place.” |
