After four years, Matt Reeves and Robert Pattinson are finally returning to Gotham—at least their version of it—at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in the UK.
Reeves, stepping back into the director’s chair for The Batman: Part II, shared some intriguing updates on social media this week. He teased test shots of the Batmobile and featured a snowy winter setting, which has fans eagerly awaiting the long-anticipated sequel. “#SnowTires,” Reeves captioned a post on X, accompanied by a bat emoji and photos of his video village monitor showing the Batmobile navigating through snow. He later posted another image revealing an explosion seen through a windshield, jokingly remarking, “Just over here having a little fun…”
Reeves also engaged with fans by sharing artwork inspired by Tom King’s 2018 three-part Batman comic arc, ‘Beast of Burden,’ which features the Dark Knight’s sidekick, Dick Grayson, in a tragic storyline.
Last July, James Gunn announced that the script for The Batman: Part II was complete, after several delays. In August, a letter to Warner Bros. Discovery shareholders revealed that filming would kick off in the spring, with a planned theatrical release set for October 1, 2027.
