Paramount Pictures has announced that the highly anticipated adaptation of Gabrielle Zevin’s bestselling novel, Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, will hit theaters on November 12, 2027. The film features Daisy Edgar-Jones in the lead role and is directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Siân Heder, known for CODA.
Edgar-Jones will portray Sadie Green, a talented video game designer. Her casting was revealed in March and follows her recent successes in films like Twisters and Where the Crawdads Sing, as well as acclaimed performances in Normal People and Under the Banner of Heaven. Paramount has yet to announce the actors playing Sam Masur, Sadie’s creative partner, or their friend Marx Watanabe.
The film’s official synopsis describes it as “a modern love story about two friends who meet as children and reunite as adults to create video games, discovering a deep connection through digital storytelling that they struggle to find in their real lives. The story explores the passion and heartbreak of creative collaboration, set against the visually groundbreaking worlds of the rising video game industry of the 1990s and 2000s.”
Zevin’s novel achieved significant literary success before its film adaptation, selling over four million copies worldwide across 40 languages. It has been recognized as one of the New York Times’ 100 best books of the 21st century and was named one of the Los Angeles Times’ best fiction books of the past 30 years.
Heder is directing, writing the screenplay based on earlier drafts by Mark Bomback and Zevin herself, and producing the project. The film is produced by Temple Hill’s Wyck Godfrey, Isaac Klausner, and Marty Bowen, with Zevin serving as an executive producer.
With its scheduled release in late 2027, the film is poised to be a major holiday season release, marking a significant milestone for Edgar-Jones’ career.
