Glixen are excited to return with their newest single, “Unwind.” Floating in with a haze of reverb-soaked guitars and soft distortion, “Unwind” creates an immersive atmosphere from the first note. The track unfolds at a slow, deliberate pace, letting each layer of riffs bloom and dissolve with an almost weightless sense of motion. Subtle dynamic shifts and swelling textures replace traditional hooks, drawing the listener deeper into Glixen’s undercurrent. A quiet tension crawls around, as if the song is drifting just out of reach.
“‘Unwind’ is about that feeling of relief when someone comes back to you after they’ve left,” bandleader Aislinn Ritchie explains. “It’s human nature to crave that push and pull—a drug weaned off. Blindingly hard to say no, we succumb to willful ignorance. We recorded this song in Los Angeles with Sonny Diperri producing, and it’s the first song we incorporated different instrumental elements, and it’s a glimpse into our evolution.”

Colorado’s Jesus Christ Taxi Driver finds their unbridled bravado with the new single “Lana Del Rey.” Heralding her as their unabashedly confident North Star, she is a mode the band has to snap into from time to time. With no shame, JCTD stares themselves down in the mirror, repeating the mantra “I’m Lana Del Rey” until they start to believe it themselves — Stream the new single.
Vocalist and guitarist Ian Ehrhart said, “Lana Del Rey is representative of self-belief and confidence amidst persecution and self-doubt. She is a pop icon that transcends pop icons through artistic integrity and an unrelenting sense of identity. She has it all… mystique, intellect, depth… She is a figment of our imagination.”
JCTD’s upcoming second album, Taxi The Rich, will be released digitally on April 24 via Midtopia. Rapturously irreverent, politically pointed, religiously disoriented, and existentially uncertain, the suite of songs’ ethos is pure rock ‘n’ roll, but the sound sure isn’t. Taking cues from garage punk, funk, surf rock, twang and even power pop, Jesus Christ Taxi Driver assembles an unlikely thematic cast of characters on Taxi The Rich including serial killers, Lana Del Rey, Jeffrey Epstein and more.

Sacha Robotti reveals another chapter of his forthcoming debut album I, Robotti with his latest single ‘Words’, a standout collaboration with alternative rock visionary Perry Farrell, out now via Dirtybird.
Built around Farrell’s evocative refrain, “Sometimes… words get in the way,” the single explores the emotional weight of what remains unspoken. Written by Farrell, ‘Words’ reframes restraint within dance music, where meaning is often carried as much by rhythm and movement as by lyrics. Pairing the raw power and ethereal softness of Farrell’s voice with Robotti’s deep, bass-driven production, ‘Words’ glides between melodic techno and tech house while drawing from his European foundation. The result is a club-ready record that lives both on the dancefloor and beyond it, capturing the nuanced intensity that bubbles throughout I, Robotti.

New York band MX LONELY are thrilled to share their debut album ALL MONSTERS, available now via Julia’s War Recordings. Channeling a heavy, murky alt-rock sound that blends cavernous guitars and soaring vocals with striking moments of beauty, the four-piece excavates past experiences to inform eight raucous songs. Across the record, the band confronts “monsters” as symbols of trauma, addiction, neurodivergence, and self-doubt, turning shadow work into a cathartic act of survival and self-destruction of harmful beliefs. Self-recorded to capture the immediacy of their visceral live shows, the album stretches into their longest and most expansive songs yet.
“ALL MONSTERS explores the idea of a collective ownership of the monsters inside all of us – all goods and evils being part of the larger tapestry of human existence,” vocalist Rae Haas explains. “This is something that we are all connected to, despite how hard we try to have a unique human experience.”

Indie experimentalist Stereo Roux returns with Modern Melancholy, a hazy new single that trades explosive energy for introspective immersion. Driven by spacey synths, wah-drenched guitars, and mellow, almost detached vocals, the track drifts through a subdued emotional landscape—one where feeling everything and nothing coexist.
“I wanted this one to feel like floating in your own head,” says Stereo Roux. “It’s not dramatic-it just is. That quiet kind of melancholy you carry without always noticing.”
Far from the punchy urgency of The Dilemma, Modern Melancholy leans into restraint, letting atmosphere and repetition do the heavy lifting. It’s lo-fi, hypnotic, and deeply personal-capturing the emotional space Stereo Roux occupies in a world that rarely slows down long enough to process it.
Think: late-night introspection wrapped in analog warmth, where indie rock meets dreamlike detachment.
The track also marks the first release from his upcoming album, MODERN TIMES, set to arrive later this year. As a preview of what’s to come, Modern Melancholy signals a shift toward a more subdued, reflective, and sonically expansive direction.
Following momentum from previous releases like Pretty Pink Sky-featured on Spotify’s Today’s Indie Rock and Indie Fresh Finds-and The Dilemma, Stereo Roux continues to evolve while staying rooted in emotional honesty.
With Modern Melancholy, he invites listeners to sit in the stillness-and find something real within it.

The 12-track project brings together a run of acclaimed singles released over the past year alongside a collection of brand-new songs that show the band sharpening and expanding their sound. London-based four-piece Platoon return with ‘Quarter Mile’, the second single taken from their upcoming EP, due for release this March. Raw and faintly melancholic, ‘Quarter Mile’ carries a quiet sense of weight.
‘Quarter Mile’ is available now on your streaming service of choice via APOLLO Distribution.
Listen to ‘Quarter Mile’ below:
Raspy, unvarnished vocals sit at the front of the mix, guided by a steady rhythm section and chiming, folk-leaning instrumentation. There’s a looseness to it, something lived-in rather than polished, that feels central to the band’s identity.
The track has already become a staple of Platoon’s live sets, road-tested and reshaped over the past year. After letting it evolve on stage, the band returned home to record and self-produce it themselves in the damp basement of their shared student house.
Drawing on traditional folk songwriting and the live production style of the mid-’60s, Platoon cite influences ranging from Bob Dylan and Gram Parsons to more contemporary voices like MJ Lenderman, Dutch Interior and Alex G. Those reference points feel present, but never forced – more a shared affinity rather than a direct imitation.

Rising London-based artist Matilda Rowe shares her new EP ‘Creases – Act Two’, the follow-up to her October 2025 release ‘Creases – Act One’. A beautifully eclectic five-track project, the EP moves fluidly between jazz and experimental indie, pairing cinematic instrumentation with soulful, expressive vocals. Soul-stirring and subtly retro with a modern edge, ‘Creases – Act Two’ showcases Matilda’s haunting, emotive and theatrical vocal style, unfolding over rich, colourful arrangements that draw from a wide range of musical practices.
‘Creases – Act Two’ is out today via the streaming service of choice via APOLLO Distribution.

South East London’s own BLONDETING shares her chill-d&b track ‘circles’ which she explains “hurdles can be overcome, and emotions that you feel hold you back shouldn’t be carried alone.” The track doubles as an unfiltered, inner monologue – where her thoughts loop in an emotional spiral. ‘circles’ is available now on your streaming service of choice via APOLLO Distribution. BLONDETING has also been recently added to Gemfest.

Rising artist Sonia Stein releases her newest pop gem ‘Hell Ride’, whilst announcing her upcoming EP, set for release on March 20th.
Catchy from the first listen, ‘Hell Ride’ balances crystal-clear vocals with a soaring chorus and punchy melodies – making for a track that is impossible not to replay. The track nods to the slick, melodic sensibilities of HAIM and the hook heavy sparkle of The Aces, radiating a confidence that makes you feel like you can take on the world. Shimmering guitars and crisp production set the tone from the get-go, layered beneath Sonia’s glittering vocals, as she sings about the intoxicating feeling of an all encompassing, gut-wrenching love: ‘what you do to me should be criminal / cause life without you is one bad hell ride’.
Speaking on the meaning behind the single, Sonia said: “Hell Ride is a song that leans into the obsessive, all consuming nature of being devoted to someone past the point of it feeling healthy or normal but embracing it anyway. Thematically it feels like the big sister of Insatiable, but even more unhinged and self indulgent. I had such a fun time fully letting this character take over for this song, something I think younger me was always a little indignant about even though it was younger me who felt the most of this kind of emotion. At the time it didn’t feel like something I should be shouting/singing about.”
