INsiders Guide: YORGHAKI, Maddie Regent, Bryson Tiller, Radio Free Alice, Charlotte Cardin…

featuring @yorghaki @maddieregent @radiofreealiceband @charlottecardin @babyjanelives @shes__green @chrisavantgarde @teotalamusic @scarlethouse

Latin GRAMMY-nominated Venezuelan artist and producer Yorghaki unveils his new album, Antes de Que Sea Tarde,” available everywhere now. Marking a radical creative evolution from his previous work, the eight-track project introduces Yorghaki at his most vulnerable, instinctive, and emotionally transparent: a body of work created not for trends or expectations, but as a reflection of joy, freedom, and artistic self-discovery.

Built around live instrumentation, organic percussion, and warm Caribbean textures, “Antes De Que Sea Tarde” finds Yorghaki stepping fully into his own voice as both an artist and storyteller. While his earlier work focused heavily on experimentation and sonic identity, this album represents something far more personal: a deliberate decision to create music rooted in feeling, presence, and human connection. The album’s title, “Antes De Que Sea Tarde,” reflects the project’s central philosophy: embracing life fully before time slips away. Rather than chasing commercial success, the artist approached the album with a singular intention, to create timeless music that reflects who he truly is in this chapter of his life.

I never really thought about what I would do for a second album because I was so focused on making the first,” shares Yorghaki. “This project was a radical change for me. I made it for myself: to explore, to feel free, and to create something I’ll be proud of forever. It was also the first time I truly felt comfortable exploring my voice in this way. The Caribbean inspires me deeply — it reminds me of home, of Venezuela, of joy. This album came from being in spaces that felt safe enough to express emotions I don’t usually say out loud.

indie-pop singer and songwriter Maddie Regent ushers in a bold new era with her new single, “See Me.”

Blending ambient production, intimate lyricism, and sweeping melodies, “See Me” explores the strange vulnerability of being fully known by someone else. Written alongside her creative partner and fiancé, producer and songwriter Cade Hoppe, the track balances melodrama and honesty with effortless precision.

‘See Me’ is about how the last piece of yourself to show someone is the side that gets cold feet and leaves them at the train station with your bag,” she shares. “Now suddenly this stranger knows you better than anyone else, and I don’t think there’s anything more romantic than that.

GRAMMY-nominated R&B artist Bryson Tiller has released his new single “Drop The Lo” via Trapsoul/RCA Records – listen HERE

Written by Bryson Tiller, Reezy On Da Beat, and Andrew Glover, and produced by Reezy On Da Beat, the track is a seamless blend between R&B and trap, layered with melodic instrumentation that brings Bryson’s vocals to the forefront. “Drop The Lo” teases what fans can expect from Bryson’s next chapter as he gears up to release a brand-new album. Last month, he dropped his single “IT’S OK” from the upcoming project.

The track arrives following the announcement of his upcoming headline tour Bryson Tiller Presents: The Neo Trapsoul Tour. Supported by Majid JordanTy Dolla $ign, and Austin Millz on select dates, Bryson Tiller Presents: The Neo Trapsoul Tour kicks off August 27, 2026. The 61-date run includes stops at iconic venues such as Madison Square Garden in New York City, Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado, and Intuit Dome in Los Angeles before heading to the UK and Europe on November 17.

Australian new wave/post-punk band Radio Free Alice today releases their new single “Lunch Money” along with an official video. Fueled by punchy melodic urgency, jangly guitars, and a driving bass line, frontman Noah Learmonth’s rough-hewn expressive delivery is positioned front and center. Making their debut release on Atlantic Records / Warner Music Australia, the new song comes as they premiere it live at Governors Ball Festival in New York, before heading off on a run of festivals in Europe and the UK — Stream.

“‘Lunch Money’ came together last year in a soundcheck in Nottingham while on tour in the UK,” shared Learmonth. “It was the back-end of the tour and it had started getting really cold. I remember us writing it on the stage at the empty venue, all with jackets, scarves and gloves on. It was one of those songs that came together pretty instantly.”

French-Canadian musician Charlotte Cardin releases new single “Take Me Back” via Cult Nation / The Orchard. After winning the Female Artist of the Year at the Victoires de la Musique earlier this year, following her being named as Billboard’s Global Woman of the Year in 2025, Cardin continues to build international momentum with this effortless new single, accompanied by a cinematic music video directed by Academy Award nominee Vincent René-Lortie.

A sultry, brooding alt-pop song with jazz-inflected melodies that build to a cathartic finale, “Take Me Back” explores the consequences of hesitation: what happens when you seek clarity in a relationship by creating distance from a partner – but end up with roles reversed.

“Take Me Back is about the selfish heartbreak of asking for space, then realizing he may have used that space to heal from you.” – Charlotte Cardin

Baby Jane — a rising independent electronic artist carving her own path in the shadows of EDM — shares “Motorbike,” a sleek, fresh new single in collaboration with electronic producer/artist akiaura. This new standalone track continues the two underground artists’ musical collaboration, first heard in 2025’s “Deathwish” with EDM powerhouse LONOWN. Though not on her upcoming album Winter Foreverit still masters atmosphere, bathing her cool and ethereal vocals in a luxurious, euphoric, and melodic dance beat. “It’s reminiscent of the Kaskade and Deadmau5 classics that I find myself listening to on solo drives through the city,” Baby Jane adds. “It feels expansive and ethereal.”

akiaura worked with renowned electronic artist LONOWN for many years, releasing multiple projects that pioneered the angelcore genre as a blend of witch house, phonk, and wave music. They serve as integral to the internet era electronic sound and have influenced many other artists, bringing their unique Eastern Europe community to the global stage. On both “Deathwish” and now “Motorbike”, akiaura’s genre-blending sensibilities complement Baby Jane’s instinctive production methods, as well as her unique vision of EDM and the angelcore microgenre. Together, they’ve achieved total liberation, not just from the body in this euphoric new dance track, but from the constraints of genre itself.

Minneapolis band she’s green are excited to share “close your eyes, the final preview of their upcoming EP, swallowtail, which arrives July 10, 2026, via Photo Finish Records. Inspired by a flurry of dreams featuring a mystery figure, she’s green harness warm soundscapes of lush riffs to mirror a descent into deep sleep. Zofia Smith’s voice dissolves into the swirling guitars, as the official music video recreates her blue-tinged vision of a life with someone she doesn’t know.

“‘close your eyes’ is about a mysterious person who kept recurring in my dreams. In those dreams, we shared a life together by the ocean. Waking up and realizing they weren’t real left a lasting impression on me, leaving me wondering about our connection to our dreams, how my mind could have created this person, or if I knew them in a past life,” explains bandleader Zofia Smith.

German-born, London-based electronic visionary Chris Avantgarde releases ‘Rhythm Check’, the final single off his upcoming debut album Hyperreal, out now via his Hyperreal label. The track joins earlier singles ‘Concrete Professional’ ‘Obsessed,’ ‘The Other Side,’ ‘Down For The Night,’ ‘Dale,’ and ‘Energy’.

‘Rhythm Check’ pushes Chris into a darker, more subterranean club space, built around a commanding bass house groove and a vocal hook that cuts through the mix with immediate precision. The production is sleek but forceful, using cavernous pressure, clipped rhythmic details, and finely sculpted sound design to create a track that feels engineered for strobe-lit rooms and late-night systems.

Five weeks before her wedding in 2022, singer, songwriter and guitarist Danni Hoshino realized she was trans. Soon after coming out, her old life unraveled. In its unwinding, Hoshino wove together the life she was always meant to live. Releasing under the artist name Light Bird, her debut 10-song collection, See Her, explores the challenges and found beauty that arose in this new phase of life.

“From the uncertain years leading up to my transition, the realization and fallout of coming out as a trans woman, and navigating the world as a baby queer, I suddenly found myself with a voice and perspective that was always missing,” Hoshino says. “It felt vital that I represent that perspective and share it, especially at a time when the trans community is being villainized and attacked daily.”

“I had an existing solo project, but realizing how much my life had changed, I decided it made sense to start fresh with a new project and stage name,” she continues. “The term ‘Light Bird’ is an evolution of one of my older songs. Becoming this new version of myself, a person who is now much more confident and extroverted and actualized, felt like stepping into the light.”

Wait For Me” continues MC Abdul’s remarkable story, which began when videos of his 11-year-old self rapping atop rubble sparked a global viral sensation and has continued through his teenage years as one of music’s foremost advocates for Palestinian liberation. Growing up in Gaza, hip-hop provided a lifeline for the young Abdul, learning English from rap legends and inspired by the hip-hop tradition of speaking out against oppression. Videos of Abdul – of this middle school-aged child forcefully and soulfully articulating his struggle – circulated among music fans and activists alike, making him an iconic figure despite putting a target on his back. It was a complex, hardship-filled journey for Abdul to leave Gaza, eventually reach the United States, and later reunite with his family amid Israel’s ongoing genocide against Palestinians.

The single sets the stage for MC Abdul’s forthcoming debut LP, representing a leap onto the global stage – not just as a rapper but as a prominent voice of a generation whose stories of resilience are often left untold.

Self-described as “Jason Mraz meets Harry Styles with acoustic poetry,” teo tala lingers on vulnerable truths, heritage, and growing pains while easing into adulthood in his work, often found in his forthright lyricism devoid of external fanfare. The indie-pop artist, who debuted with his narrative-driven single “white pearls,” makes a sincere and uninhibited approach that focuses on greater narratives, creating emblematic music reflective of Gen-Z’s current romantic culture.

Growing up in a large family, tala learned to grab the spotlight. He often performed songs like “Bet On It” from High School Musical for his family, an all-too-familiar track that informed his specific, sentimental delivery. Later, in middle school, he developed an interest in learning the ukulele, a skill he nurtured throughout his early education that led him toward artists like Khai Dreams and the bedroom-pop space. Fascinated by the early production of figures like Conan Gray, teo tala added his own narrative; coming from a Filipino background, he enriched his songs with his Southern Californian experience and his mental health journey.

tala expanded his musical pursuits at Santa Clara University, performing regularly at campus events and college open mics in front of crowds. He quickly developed his artistic presence, centered around the destruction of relationships, exploring themes like the lingering presence of a lost lover and the emotional residue left behind in shared spaces. In his music, he paints picture-esque scenes accompanied by infectious loops and memorable hooks. “i’m doing fine,” serenaded with a twisted sense of vulnerability and self-reflection, garnered significant playlisting and fan adoration.

teo tala landed a full-time position at Google in their Chicago office before eventually leaving to focus on his music career, a decision that brought him back to Southern California and his hometown, ready to pursue his dream once more.

rising one-man shoegaze act Scarlet House kicks off his new era with the release of single “Cherish.” The track is the first offering off of his debut album, Angels, out everywhere August 28th

A moody and atmospheric track that highlights Scarlet House’s soaring vocals, “Cherish” explores the importance of embracing the present and finding beauty in fleeting moments. The song was created on the notion that while even the happiest experiences eventually come to an end, their impermanence doesn’t diminish their impact. Grungy guitars intertwine with melancholic, vulnerable melodies for a first single that sets the tone for what fans can expect from Angels.

“Cherish is funny because I wrote it first out of all the songs. I loved it so much that I never put it out cause I was always scared it wouldn’t be the right time. Then over time it just turned into being a part of something bigger. It also went through about 15 different versions,” explains Scarlet House. “It takes the song before a step further and finally fully acknowledges that things don’t always work, and they probably won’t this time around. But that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the moment. I hate to be the cliche guy but I can’t help but believe that everything that happens shapes us into who we are. Good and bad. Even failed relationships have worth at the end of the day. Might as well enjoy the ride.”

Tony Jupiter is a Chicano surf goth project formed in 2018 in El Paso, Texas, built on a blend of nostalgic surf rock riffs, shadowy atmospheres, and a strong sense of identity rooted in culture and lived experience. What started as an underground outlet has grown into something more personal over time, shaped by loss, reflection, and a need to leave something meaningful behind. As Tony explains, “Seeing people I knew pass away made me realize life isn’t guaranteed… I started creating music I could be remembered by.” That shift marked a turning point, pulling him closer to his family, his heritage, and the foundations of what Tony Jupiter would become.

His new album, CLOWN SYNDROME, feels like the clearest expression of that journey so far. Made up of songs written between 2018 and 2025, the record brings together years of ideas that were once scattered across old demos and forgotten files. After being approached by Handwritten Records in 2025, Tony was given the chance to revisit and rebuild those tracks from the ground up. Recorded in Miami, the album came together in an intense, week-long stretch. “We recorded and mixed the entire album in just a week… it felt like there was something bigger guiding us,” he says. “By the end of it, I didn’t come back from Miami the same.”

Across the record, Tony leans fully into the world he’s been building around his payaso persona, inspired by his father’s work as a Chicano punk artist. The album follows a character navigating what he calls “Clown Syndrome,” a reflection of hiding pain behind expression, and learning to process it in real time. “I poured a piece of my heart into each track,” he explains, with songs touching on heartbreak, addiction, and complicated love, all filtered through a sound that pulls from indie, alternative, and 80s influences. There’s a noticeable shift in perspective from track to track, capturing his own growth across the years. “You can hear that evolution… they come from completely different places, emotionally and creatively.”

Industrial rock duo Empires In Orbit – the brain child of multi-instrumentalist Gary Mann and vocalist Fe Malefiz – is excited to announce their forthcoming album Audiodrome. Described by Malefiz as “beautiful, confusing chaos” and by Mann as a compelling “Lana del Reznor” mash-up, Audiodrome is set to be released on August 14 and is available for pre-save now here.

Additionally, the band has debuted their new single and horror-inspired music video “Mother!”, which fans can check out now at https://youtu.be/mb8Y2nQF-L0.

As soon as we finished the demo for this song, we knew it would be a single. The lyrics are as heavy as the guitars and it just stuck in our heads,” shares Mann. “We’re equally proud of every song on the album but this song we couldn’t shake. Miri’s vocal performance is so powerful and visual that writing the treatment for the video was easy. We’re both horror movie fanatics so we wanted the visuals to be as memorable as the song itself. Josh Waldby of Arvest Pictures was the only man for the job and he delivered more of a mini movie than a standard music video. The entire crew on that shoot was locked in and helped us create something truly special.”

Seahaven has released their long awaited new, self-titled album, out now via Pure Noise Records. Additionally, they’ve released the new music video for “Million Ways”. Across the album, Seahaven balances deeply introspective lyrics with some of the most memorable hooks of their career. Songs like “Hellbound,” “February Flowers,” and “Infinite Blue” pair emotional weight with soaring melodies, while quieter moments such as “Remember Me” and the closing track “Companion” explore themes of memory, loss, and the fragile nature of life. Fans can now stream in full on all digital platforms or purchase the album physically.

Self-produced, engineered by Alex Estrada at Pale Moon Ranch in Juniper Hills, CA, and mixed and mastered by Grammy Award-winning producer Will Yip, Seahaven finds the Torrance, CA band delivering what may be their most defining statement to date.

Written primarily by vocalist and guitarist Kyle Soto, the album began to take shape in April 2025 when Soto wrote “Wedding Bells,” the first song for the record. From there, inspiration arrived quickly. Working out of his home studio, Soto often completed full song outlines in a single night, following what he describes as a creative “flow state” that allowed the songs to come naturally and without overthinking.

“Clearly, there’s been a lot going on in my life over the past couple of years that I’m sorting through,” Soto explains. “I wasn’t consciously trying to put it all into songs, but I’d sit down with a guitar to see what would happen, and I’d end up writing.”
