THE HIT LIST

The Hit List : Kanye West, Carnage, Ariana Grande, Halsey, The 1975, 6LACK

Kanye West – “I Love It” (feat. Lil Pump): This is the brand new song by rappers Kanye West and Lil Pump, featuring guest vocals by American comedian Adele Givens. The song was produced by West himself, and shows off the incredible talent he has as a producer, something he created a name for himself doing in the early stages of his career. Strangely enough the song premiered at the 2018 Pornhub Awards, and reached number 1 in Canada, Finland, New Zealand and Sweden, as well as hitting the top 10 in Australia, the UK and US. A music video for the single was premiered at the 2018 Pornhub Awards, and features West and Pump in body suits as they walk down a hallway lined with women covered in mesh clothing. Such a great track and something to fire up your playlists and parties this week.

Carnage feat. I LOVE MAKONNEN – “I Like Tuh”: A bass-loving producer who trades in EDM, rap, and trap, Carnage was a successful hip-hop beatmaker before he transitioned into the world of dance. Born Diamante Blackmon, the L.A.-based producer had made tracks for the likes of A$AP Rocky and G-Eazy while making more club-oriented music on the side. His track “I Like Tuh” showcases his more hip hop orientated influences as he teams up with artist ILOVEMAKONNEN. This latest club banger from Carnage will once again have you dancing in a club with his turnt up production.

Ariana Grande – “Goodnight And Go”: This is the thirteenth track from Ariana Grande’s fourth studio album, “Sweetener”. The song is a remix and cover of Imogen Heap’s song “Goodnight and Go”, with Heap calling the song “a real gift”. The song debuted at No. 87 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and at No. 67 on the Canadian Hot 100 in Australia and Hungary.

Halsey – “Without Me”: Halsey released a defiant new track, “Without Me,” marking her first new solo material since her 2017 album. On Beats 1 Radio with Zane Lowe, Halsey explained the single; “Questioning your purpose and your effort in a relationship can be confusing and draining,” Halsey explained to Lowe, “But it’s important to self-reflect and know your worth and value.” “Without Me” is a personal track that delves into the regret that Halsey felt after the demise of a relationship, one she had with rapper G-Eazy. The couple has since gotten back together.

The 1975 – “TooTimeTooTimeTooTime”: This is the next single taken from the bands forthcoming album “A Brief Inquiry Onto Online Relationships”. Like just about everything they do, the build up to the release of the new album has been pure class. “TooTimeTooTimeTooTime” is as europop as you can get but the band do it effortlessly, as the song transitions between disco with a french touch to robotic vocal shifts reminiscent of Cher’s “Believe”. The 1975 are a band I think are highly underappreciated, but you can see by this new single their talent can’t be denied.

6LACK – “Let Her Go”: 6LACK earned his first No. 1 on the Billboard charts with his album “East Atlanta Love Letter”. It has spawned my favorite song on the album “Let Her Go”, which is a Chris Brown type single, probably influenced by his tour with the artist. Worth checking it out below.
