Kate Hudson Nominated for Academy Award & Joins Javier Bardem in Romantic Comedy “Hello & Paris”

Kate Hudson, celebrated actress and recent Oscar nominee, is set to star alongside Oscar-winning actor Javier Bardem in the highly anticipated romantic comedy “Hello & Paris.” According to a report from Deadline, the film will be loosely based on Deborah McKinlay’s novel That Part Was True and promises to be a charming addition to the genre.

“Hello & Paris” will be written and directed by Elizabeth Chomko, known for her work on What They Had. The film is described as a modern romantic comedy in the style of classics like Sleepless in Seattle, When Harry Met Sally, and You’ve Got Mail. The story centers around Paris, a fiercely independent landscape architect, and a crisis-ridden bestselling novelist, who develop a lively transatlantic correspondence over books and recipes. Their exchanges lead to a deeper realization that sometimes, choosing not to be alone is the hardest decision of all.

The film is backed by producer Finola Dwyer, a two-time Best Picture nominee, along with Fifth Season. Sales plans for “Hello & Paris” will be discussed at the upcoming European Film Market in Berlin, generating buzz among international distributors.

For Kate Hudson, this project marks her return to the big screen since her 2025 film “Song Sung Blue,” for which she received an Oscar nomination for Best Actress. In that film, she starred alongside Hugh Jackman as Claire Sardina, also known as “Thunder,” a member of a Neil Diamond tribute band.

Javier Bardem, renowned for his roles in “No Country for Old Men,” Skyfall, and the Dune franchise, continues to impress audiences with his diverse filmography. His recent work includes the 2025 action racing film “F1,” and he is slated to star in the 2026 drama “The Beloved,” as well as the psychological thriller “Bunker.”

Stay tuned for more updates on “Hello & Paris,” an exciting romantic comedy featuring a star-studded cast and a heartfelt story set against the picturesque backdrop of Paris.
