First look at John Stamos-led ‘Drag’

Fans can now catch their first glimpse of an unexpected pairing headlining one of 2026’s most buzzed-about indie films. Exclusive first-look images from the upcoming comedy crime thriller Drag feature John Stamos and Lizzy Caplan in a tense, pain-filled confrontation.

Shared exclusively by ScreenRant, these photos tease the film’s quirky and chaotic premise. The story centers on two sisters attempting to rob a rural home in upstate New York—only for disaster to strike when one throws out her back on the second floor. Left immobilized and in a panic, the pair scrambles to escape before the homeowner returns, turning a straightforward heist into a hilariously disastrous ordeal.

Among the standout shots: Lizzy Caplan sprawled on the floor with a wide-eyed look of alarm, clearly in the thick of the crisis; another captures her awkwardly positioned in a bathtub. John Stamos appears composed, seated in front of an array of artwork with a sly, knowing smile. Christine Ko is seen holding a glass of wine, underscoring the film’s blend of dark humor and suspense.

The casting brings an intriguing twist—John Stamos, iconic as Uncle Jesse from Full House and Fuller House, has been expanding his range with recent roles in Apple TV+‘s Palm Royale and Netflix’s The Hunting Wives Season 2. Here, he ventures into thriller-comedy territory alongside Caplan.

Drag is written and directed by Raviv Ullman and Greg Yagolnitzer. It is produced by Jake DeVito, Lucy DeVito, and Danny DeVito through Jersey Films 2nd Avenue. The score comes from Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump.

The film is set to make its world premiere at SXSW on March 13, 2026.
