Alt-indie rock duo Cursing, made up of cousins Max Biebuyck and Skyler Leon, has returned with their latest release, “Talk,” a sonic journey that explores the push and pull of communication and human connection. Rooted in alt-rock sensibilities but driven by an undeniably buoyant tempo, the song feels both urgent and exhilarating, capturing the tension of trying to be understood while still inviting listeners to move with it. “Talk” is now available to stream on all digital music platforms.

“Talk” is an upbeat alt-rock song with a strong melodic hook that makes you want to sing alongWritten by both Biebuyck and  Leon, the song operates on multiple levels. On the surface, there’s a story, but beneath that, the words themselves become rhythmic elements, punchy, repetitive, and intentionally placed to function almost like percussion. This interplay between narrative and sound transforms the vocals into more than just a storytelling device; they become a driving force that propels the song’s energy forward. Produced by Timothy Brown, “Talk” is built around electrified guitar riffs and a propulsive rhythm section leaning into a gritty yet polished soundscape that reflects their artistic growth. The layered vocals add a hypnotic quality, weaving in and out of the instrumentation with a confidence that is reminiscent of modern indie rock’s most infectious moments. There’s a rawness in the delivery that contrasts beautifully with the track’s tight, almost danceable structure, giving it a duality that keeps it engaging from start to finish. “Talk” thrives in its ability to blur the line between introspection and release. “At its core, it’s really just about how people communicate; to themselves, to one another, and about others,” says the band. “With an underlying idea of how intention and words alone don’t change circumstance.” It’s a song that invites listeners to reflect, but never at the cost of momentum. Whether heard through headphones or blasting in a crowded room, it carries an energy that makes it impossible to stay still. With this release, Cursing continues to carve out a sound that is both familiar and distinctly their own.

Apryll Aileen is a classically trained pianist turned dynamic pop artist, captivating global audiences for over a decade with her unique sound. Her music blends the introspective essence of Madonna’s Ray of Light era with the soulful power of Adele’s vocals, all while embracing the dark romanticism of Lana Del Rey. The result is a fusion of profound lyrics, emotional depth, and innovative production that pulls listeners into a world of longing and passion.

Her latest release, “Under My Tree” has gone viral after airing in the season premiere of Hallmark’s “Mistletoe Murders”. She has garnered over 2000 Shazams in a month and the song was added to Apple Music’s editorial playlists “A Very Canadian Christmas”, “New in Christmas”, and Spotify’s editorial playlist “Christmas in Canada”. Her previous single “Take Me” is currently nominated for an East Coast Music Award for Dance Release of the Year and was nominated for Song & Video of the Year at the Music New Brunswick Awards.

She is now working on a brand new album, being recorded between Canada and the United Kingdom. She has a loyal following of listeners who resonate with her message of romantic wanderlust with a hint of nostalgia and old-world charm.

NYC-based art-rockers Ecce Shnak are back with “Vincent”, the first single from their full-length album “Dandy Variances”, out later this year via Records, Man Records. Operatic trills collide with frantic rock energy in a high-decibel takedown of a formulaic antagonist through the power of one’s own voice. Directed and edited by DJay Brawner, the videowas produced by DJay Brawner, Brooks Jones, Beth Narducci, and David Roush.

Formed in the mid-noughties and forged in NYC’s experimental scene, Ecce Shnak (pronounced Eh-kay sh-knock) is made up of David Roush (composer, bassist and one of two singers), Bella Komodromos (vocals), Chris Krasnow (guitar), Gannon Ferrell (guitar), and Henry Buchanan-Vaughn (drums).

“This is a mid-tempo, jumpy, flash-in-the-pan hardcore song with classical art song vocals. I originally wrote it for a film that was never made but was imagined by a classmate of mine at Temple University in Philadelphia in 2015. The character Vincent is an archetype of a smug, inconsiderate jerk most of us occasionally come across, try as we might to avoid them. Vincent is not an absolute scoundrel, but he is wack enough to rightly deserve the average person’s indignant eye-roll,” says David Roush.

Global pop phenomenon Bella Poarch unveils a look inside her mind and the world she is creating with the release of her new single “Ribcage” – listen HERE. The single arrives alongside a stop-motion-inspired haunting music video – watch HERE. “Ribcage” is the first taste of Bella’s debut album announced today, titled PICNIC AT THE CEMETERY, set for release this fall via a new partnership with Last Gang Records/MNRK Music Group.

“Ribcage” marks a distinct evolution in Bella’s artistry, offering an intimate glimpse into the emotional world that defines her forthcoming debut album. The single sets the tone for PICNIC AT THE CEMETERY, a cinematic coming-of-age project that blends surreal fairytale imagery with deeply personal storytelling – pre-save the album HERE. Through the single’s rollout and music video, Bella introduces listeners to “The Bigheads,” her hand-drawn characters that guide the narrative of her debut album through healing, girlhood, and transformation, which are further brought to life in the song’s official music video.

Bella explains that her single “‘Ribcage’ is really about my struggle with mental health and trying to protect myself from being stuck in a warped reality. Writing this song helped me process a lot of emotions I didn’t fully understand before. It’s a very honest piece of me, and it felt like the right way to begin this new chapter.”

British-Jamaican DJ, producer, and tastemaker Siobhan Bell steps into her artist era with the release of her debut single as a solo artist, ‘Toxic’, out today alongside an official music video.

‘Toxic’ sits firmly in Bell’s club DNA while marking a clear shift into her own original artistry. Built on the foundations of UK garage and house, the track channels late-night dancefloor pressure through a lens shaped by her years behind the booth, balancing rhythmic intensity with a more defined personal sonic identity. The accompanying music video is saucy, capturing Bell in her natural DJ setting while highlighting her instinctive connection to the booth and the dancefloor.

“With ‘Toxic,’ I wanted to capture that late-night energy on the dance floor. Sonically, it sits between UK garage, house, and electronic pop, genres that have shaped me as a DJ. This record marks a shift into my artist era, still club-driven, but more personal in how I shape my sound.” – Siobhan Bell

Deemed as “A female rapper you need to know!” by New Scene Magazine414JungleBaby grew up immersed in the 414’s distinctive and bustling rap scene. She has been a symbol of resilience since childhood, first making national headlines as a first-grader when she stood her ground after a teacher infamously cut off one of her braids in class. She grew a hard shell while living in her city, using music as an outlet for her true feelings. Jungle recounts how she was given her rap name one day in an Atlanta studio at 14 years old: “They were like, ‘Who got this baby in the studio?’ I’m like, ‘I’m from the jungle, I’m not no baby.’ They were like, ‘Okay, JungleBaby.’ So that’s what I just ran with; started calling Milwaukee ‘the Jungle.’” Drawing inspiration from both her hometown and ATL, her sticky melodies and gritty street stories have earned her collaborations with Chicken P on “Blood On My Socks,” Ricch Millie on “Deja Vu,” and SME Taxfree on “I’m Speeding.”

Continuing to build excitement for their highly anticipated full-length album, Rough Magic, out on June 12, 2026, NYC-based indie-folk-pop trio, Bandits on the Run, release the new single, “lostlostlost” on May 1st. LISTEN HERE.

With rotating lead vocals and varied instrumentation, Adrian Blake Enscoe (they/he), Sydney Shepherd (she/her), and Regina Strayhorn (she/her) combine to evoke the 60s and 70s spirit of bands like Fleetwood Mac while also carrying the sonic inventiveness of the modern folk power pop acts like First Aid Kit and Bonnie Light Horsemen, and trios like I’m With Her, featuring impeccable harmonies and elevated songwriting so good they make the balancing act seem simple. Grown from theatrical roots – Enscoe and Shepherd have appeared on Broadway, while Strayhorn has a successful career in casting – they are also writing several original musicals, including a stage musical adaptation of the novel What’s Eating Gilbert Grape with actor-musician-longtime-friend Christopher Sears and newfound friend, Academy Award Nominee Peter Hedges. This summer, after a tour supporting Alan Doyle and the release of Rough Magic, Enscoe, Shepherd, and Strayhorn will perform their musical based on William Shakespeare’s As You Like It, the basis for their 2025 EP, The Shakespeare Tapes, at the Chautauqua Institution, from August 10 – 15th, as well as two Bandits on the Run shows surrounding that production on August 9 and 12.

The new single, “lostlostlost,” was written “off the map,” during an increasingly rare moment when none of the band members were working on anything Bandits-related. Shepherd was starring in the world premiere of a show in Minneapolis, Strayhorn was working on a casting job and starting up a film portrait business, and Enscoe was cast in a TV show. Shepherd and Enscoe – who are married – were also moving, and Enscoe found themselves traveling between NY and Minneapolis, as well as visiting friends in other states. “It was a lot of being alone, and without the context of Bandits and our other collective pursuits, it got me in a meaningless-ness state of mind,” Enscoe reflects. “When I don’t have Sydney to sleep next to, my circadian rhythm drifts, and soon I was staying up almost to sunrise and sleeping in the middle of the day. My life as a quasi-drifter lacked context. Much as I tried to find some pursuit to latch onto, I never stayed anywhere too long, so no shape took hold.”

Italian duo Mind Enterprises return with “Another World,” the final single ahead of their upcoming album Negroni Love, out May 22. The release follows the conclusion of their first-ever North American tour—with almost all dates selling out —and their debut performance at Coachella.

Negroni Love expands the playful universe that has made Mind Enterprises one of the internet’s most beloved Italo-disco projects. The album leans into themes of late-night escapism, Mediterranean nostalgia, and the duo’s distinctive vignettes of cigarettes, Negronis, football commentary, and endless European summer nights. The aesthetic extends into a dedicated merch collection including vinyl and CD editions, sticker packs, T-shirts, a Negroni Love glass, and more.

Blending shimmering synths, late-night romance, and the duo’s unmistakable Italo groove, “Another World” captures the escapist spirit of the record in one irresistible hit. The duo filmed an accompanying video in a SoCal diner during their North American tour, channeling the offbeat charm of their Barcelona kitchen videos through a distinctly California lens.

Jutes returns with a gritty new single and visual, “Icarus.” Named after the ill-fated figure of Greek mythology, the track leans into a heavier, guitar-driven sound, built on grinding riffs and a low end that hits like a gut punch. Beneath its intensity, “Icarus” zeroes in on the thin line between ambition and self-destruction, exploring what it means to chase recognition at any cost–and what’s left when it’s gone.
The accompanying music video brings that tension to life with breathless urgency, placing Jutes at the center of a high-speed chase, running with no clear way out. The visual mirrors the song’s sense of momentum: constant motion, rising pressure, and the pull to keep going even when there’s nowhere left to land. Together, the single and visual mark a bold step forward, reinforcing Jutes’ instinct for pairing emotionally charged songwriting with striking, high-impact visuals.
Of the track, Jutes says: “This song is about someone standing on a rooftop thinking about jumping so they can finally be somebody. Trading their life for a moment in the sky with all eyes on them. But as many jumpers do, regretting it once you take the leap and knowing it’s too late to go back.”

Texas trio Oakwood release Fields Behind the House,” the latest  from their new album Blurred Away, out May 29 on Memory Music.

As the closing track, it captures humanity wrestling with the vulnerable reality and permanence of loss.  From its delicate opening chords to a full instrumental break, vocalist Mathew Dwyer’s words offer a challenging sort of solace as he repeats the same question throughout: does this ever get better? or is it permanent?” Oakwood purposefully leave that unanswered, as the very thought captures the idea that grief isn’t something we can ever get rid of; we have to carry it with us forever.

Recorded with Phil Odom (Glare, Militarie Gun, Durry) and mastered by Grammy Award-winning producer Will Yip (Turnstile, Title Fight)Blurred Away draws heavily from the melodic energy of Algernon Cadwallader, Jimmy Eat World, Title Fight, and Jets to Brazil to channel existential dread into something highly cathartic.

Arriving as a gentle dose of tranquility, delicately woven White Linen is a touching ode to family. Effortless vocals expand and explore both chosen family and the one we’re born into. Queerness, acceptance and the complexities of love and intergenerational trauma come together in an exquisitely simple yet richly textured folk-song. Austel’s inclusion of field recordings from her parents’ garden in Devon adds a personal and grounding touch to this blissful offering.

Back in March Austel treated listeners to nostalgic and sun-soaked ‘Hotel Room Window View’. The track was warmly received and described asSoft, nostalgic and quietly expansive’ by Metal Magazine.

Desert Hearts have stepped into a new era. The Southern California-born collective today release California, a two-track EP that marks founders Mikey Lion, Marbs, and Lee Reynolds formally uniting as a production trio and touring act under the Desert Hearts name. Long known as a label, festival, and global community, the group now brings that same collaborative framework into a singular artist identity.

Featuring “California” and “Dancing Feet,” two cuts that distill the intersecting house and techno sounds of Mikey Lion, Marbs, and Lee Reyonds, the EP captures a dynamic that has been central to Desert Hearts since the beginning. Their “One Stage, One Vibe” festival format, built around uninterrupted programming and extended sets, has always emphasized continuity, with artists shaping the direction of a party together across non-stop weekenders. What emerges is a unified sound shaped in step with a loyal and ever-growing community.

From its early days in Southern California’s Mojave Desert, Desert Hearts has grown into hundreds of events, international touring, and a vast catalog of releases. What began as a renegade gathering of friends has expanded into a worldwide family, where the line between artist and attendee dissolves, and the dancefloor becomes a shared experience. Releasing music under the Desert Hearts name brings that spirit full circle, channeling the collective energy of the community into a singular sonic identity.

The EP also marks the beginning of a new partnership with EMPIRE Dance, expanding the reach of a project that has largely developed on its own terms. At a moment of continued growth, the release of California establishes a clearer throughline between Desert Hearts’ identity on the dancefloor and in recorded form.

Desert Hearts’ new California EP, produced by Mikey Lion, Marbs, and Lee Reynolds, is out now.

Built around driving drums, shimmering guitar lines and an emotive vocal performance, ‘Moving On’ reflects Nicolas’ instinct for writing songs that are as personal as they are expansive. There’s a quiet tension at its core, giving way to a chorus that lands with conviction.

Speaking about the track, Ivan explains: ‘‘Moving On’ has been with me for a while. Reworking it for the album gave it a new life, this is the version I can finally stand over. I tend to overthink mixes and songs, and while that can be a downfall, it’s also the part of the process I genuinely love. ’

The single follows recent releases ‘Train On Fire’ and ‘All Your Wonder’, forming an early glimpse into a debut record that traces growth, reflection, and the push-pull of holding on and letting go. The album, produced by Dani Castelar and Gavin Fitzjohn, draws on Nicolas’ evolving sound while staying grounded in the emotional honesty that defines his songwriting.
