Following the success of Scott Mann’s 2022 psychological survival thriller Fall, the highly anticipated sequel has received two significant updates. The new installment, now titled Fall 2: Deadpoint, is scheduled to hit theaters in 2026, four years after the original film’s release.
A first poster for the sequel has been unveiled by distributor Signature Entertainment, offering a tense glimpse of the film. The poster depicts two rock climbers stranded on a precarious rope bridge high in the mountains, emphasizing the peril that awaits.
The caption accompanying the poster reads, “The nightmare isn’t over.” Initially, reports suggested the film would be released in August, but the new poster confirms a release date of September 9, 2026.
The story follows Jax (Harriet Slater), who is overwhelmed by the loss of her sister Hunter. She teams up with Hunter’s fearless friend, Luce (Arsema Thomas), in an effort to find closure. Their journey takes them to the infamous plank walk of Mount Kwan in Thailand. However, after a sudden rockslide leaves them stranded on a fragile plank 3,000 feet above the ground, Jax must confront her deepest fears and fight for survival.
The original Fall was a surprise commercial and critical success, becoming the second most-watched film in the UK on Netflix. It holds a 79% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with audiences giving it a similar score. The film grossed over $18 million worldwide.
The upcoming sequel features Harriet Slater, Arsema Thomas, and Tom Brittney (from Grantchester). It is directed by the Spierig brothers, Peter and Michael, from a screenplay by Scott Mann and Jonathan Frank. The film is produced by Mann, Mark Lane, James Harris, Christian Mercuri, and David Haring.
Additionally, a third Fall film is currently in development, with Scott Mann returning as director.
