Emmy Rossum’s upcoming TV series has officially announced its release date and unveiled a first look. The former Shameless star stars in Hulu’s new thriller, Furious, which is set to debut this summer. Hulu has also released several images from the highly anticipated crime drama. The series centers around Rossum’s character in a perilous chase that gradually blurs the lines between justice and obsession.

Fans won’t have to wait much longer to see Emmy Rossum’s latest project. Hulu has scheduled the premiere of Furious for July 27, with the first three episodes dropping simultaneously (per Deadline). New episodes will then be released weekly on Mondays, concluding on August 31.

Viewers in the United States can watch the series on Hulu and Hulu through Disney+. International audiences can stream the show via Disney+. The series is created by Elizabeth Meriwether, known for hits like New Girl, The Dropout, Dying for Sex, Single Parents, and Bless This Mess. In Furious, Rossum plays FBI agent Alice Black, who is on the trail of a cunning female serial killer. According to the official synopsis, both women are motivated by their own sense of justice, and as their paths intersect repeatedly, the distinction between hero and villain becomes increasingly unclear. The show promises a tense, cat-and-mouse narrative designed to keep viewers guessing.

The newly released images offer a glimpse into the intense atmosphere of the series. One photo shows Rossum with disheveled hair, sitting on a couch amidst investigation files and clutching a gun, seemingly ready for danger. Another shot features Rossum alongside Scoot McNairy on a staircase, hinting at a possible crime scene encounter.

Additional images focus on Lola Petticrew, including one where she wears a white shirt, short skirt, and fishnet stockings, and another of her holding a syringe. Other photos depict conversations between Rossum and McNairy, along with solo shots of Petticrew, McNairy, and Jake Lacy.

The first two episodes were directed and executive-produced by Brian Kirk, who also served as an executive producer alongside Rossum, Ronald Bass, Matt Olmstead, and Sam Hoffman.
