face of ancient gallery, the project of guitarist and songwriter Jeremy Mock (bloodsports), is excited to share the second single from his label debut, Like Kites, available everywhere May 1, 2026 via Good English Records. CDs are available for pre-order now. “Green Wood” arrives today, finding peace within the mundane and the natural world. Featuring vocals from Jeremy’s sister, Sofia Mock, the song melts along with intricate guitars and expansive strings, fueling Mock’s hope-filled lyricism.
“This track is one of the first tracks I wrote for the album. The guitar part came together when I was living in Texas, and I wrote the lyrics while hanging out at Green-Wood Cemetery one day. The lyrics are observational, and are some of the more optimistic I have written. I have tried really hard over the last few years to break out of the trap of writing sad songs,” Jeremy explains. “I don’t know that this song is necessarily happy, but I think it is at least hopeful. In a lot of ways, I have found it is much harder to write a happy song than a sad song. Sadness is much easier to achieve and understand than happiness. Happiness as an emotion is debatably not taken as seriously, and seen as less sophisticated in art and music. I think the broader goal of the album was trying to break out of writing sad songs and dig a little deeper than I had before. I had my sister record vocals on this track, and I think that is when it really started to feel finished.”

New Jersey rockers, Latchkey Kids, share the final single “Saturn” off their new Kyle Pulley (Jay Som, Alex G, Hop Along) and Tom May (The Menzingers) co-produced new album, Year of Summers out April 15 via Pathetic Pinky Party.
Hanny (singer/songwriter) says, “Saturn” is the central single for our debut studio album “Year of Summers” recorded with Kyle Pulley (Alex G, Jay Som, Hop Along) & co-produced by Tom May from the Menzingers. It is written from the deepest pit of depression & is a call to action for anyone struggling to move forward. It embodies Latchkey Kids’ lyrical explorations; empty parking lots & dying hometown shopping malls made to feel like the wandering woods of a tragic Greek hero. ‘Saturn’ is a cinematic emo epic with a story about faith during cosmic events out of our control.

YOSHIKI–composer, classically trained pianist, and Japan’s biggest rock star–amazed global racing fans with his performance of “Kimigayo”, the Japanese national anthem, at the start of the 2026 FIA Formula 1 World Championship Series Aramco Japanese Grand Prix Race at the Suzuka Circuit on Sunday, March 29.
Celebrated as “one of the most influential composers in Japanese history”, YOSHIKI created a unique fusion of his classical abilities and signature hard rock drumming style for an unforgettable live show in front of 130,000 spectators, the highest attendance since F1 resumed in 2009, which was broadcast to 180 countries.
The special arrangement of “Kimigayo,” performed with piano and drums, began with a serene classical piano melody, evoking quiet beauty. As the drums joined, it built into a powerful rock-infused crescendo, bringing intense tension and overwhelming impact to the moments just before the race started.
Following the performance, the crowd gave a thunderous ovation, and the official F1 broadcast commentators said, “Wow, I loved that! I felt that in my bones!”
After the performance, YOSHIKI immediately boarded a helicopter to return to Tokyo for final rehearsals before his sold-out three-day residency April 3-5 at Tokyo Garden Theater, which serves as the kickoff of his Yoshiki Classical 2026 World Tour.
Last week, The Music Center’s Walt Disney Concert Hall announced it will host YOSHIKI for two exclusive nights on July 16 and 17, 2026. Titled “Scarlet Night” and “Violet Night”, these performances mark YOSHIKI’s highly anticipated U.S. return following his third cervical spine surgery in late 2024. YOSHIKI will change the set list for each performance, making this an unforgettable experience for fans. The concert series represents a “rebirth” for the artist, blending his signature cinematic compositions with the unmatched acoustics of Los Angeles’ most iconic architectural landmark.

Southern California pop punk band, Super Sometimes, have released a new single from their forthcoming album ‘Show the World What’s Underneath’ out May 15 via Pure Noise Records. Today, fans can stream and watch the new music video for “Make Up Stories” out now.
“Make Up Stories” follows “Afterthought”, which was released with the announcement of the new album. “’Make Up Stories” is a direct continuation of “Afterthought,” painting a picture of the same person who mistreated you crawling back, trying to beg and manipulate their way back into your life,” explains the band. “Lyrically, this song was incredibly fun to write. We used the concepts of a court trial and a game of chess as analogies for a broken relationship.”

Releasing via La Izquierda Records on April 3rd, the album consists of ten breezy tracks filled with twangy guitars, husky vocals, and introspective lyrics.

The opening phrase “Let go of your heavy grip around my neck” refers to the feeling of being controlled by your emotions and how some are harder to shake than others.”

Modern Holiday today announce their self-titled debut album and share the single “Goodbye Grand Street”. This second single from the NYC indie four-piece is a bittersweet sendoff to a place that shaped a chapter of life. Written about moving out of the apartment the band’s frontman Jameson Edwards called home longer than anywhere else, the song reflects on the weight of memory—late nights, rooftop parties, and even filming a music video within its walls. It captures the push and pull between holding on and letting go, recognizing how much growth can be tied to a single space while accepting when it’s time to move forward.
The Modern Holiday LP is now available for digital preorder here.
“Goodbye Grand Street” follows the March release of Modern Holiday’s debut single “Shuttered Life”, a quietly powerful song that balanced collective memory of 2020 with personal reflection—both a time capsule of isolation and an intimate portrait of finding meaning in solitude.
With Edwards joined by Michael Horaz (drums), Billy Gray (bass/vocals), and Niko Siskos (guitar), this four-piece may appear as familiar faces from numerous NYC scene bands including Bloody Your Hands, I Am The Heat, and The Vibrant Colors. In their incarnation as Modern Holiday they combine to create something somehow grander yet more introspective than anything they’ve previously shared.

Pop singer and songwriter Melanie Herrera unveils her striking new single, “Whatever’s Left.” After capturing millions of views and a rapidly growing audience with her viral “Nepo Baby Vocal Warm-Up” series on Instagram and TikTok, she is emerging as one of indie pop’s most compelling new voices, blending humor, heart, and introspection in everything she creates.
Written by Herrera and produced by longtime collaborator Tiger Darrow, “Whatever’s Left” tells the story of a family unraveling through the eyes of a child caught in the middle. “People often write about divorce, but rarely from the perspective of the child inside it,” she explains. “‘Whatever’s Left’ is about the complicated grief of that experience—when something fundamental fractures outside of your control, and all you’re left with is a memory.”

Multi-platinum selling singer-songwriter Cody Simpson has released the music video for his new single “When It Comes to Loving You” via Range Music / BMG — watch HERE. The video serves as the second act to the “Baby Blue” video released on March 27, together constituting a bold, cinematic announcement of Simpson’s return to music after a six-year hiatus. The latest video was teased earlier this week with a Billboard on LA’s iconic Sunset blvd, playfully taking inspiration from the infamous Fight Club line “The first rule of Cody Simpson is: You do not talk about Cody Simpson” – See here.
The “When It Comes to Loving You” video is directed by Antony Muse and picks up precisely where “Baby Blue” left off: Cody entering a darkened building and cutting to black. The second act reopens on the roaring aftermath of a Fight Club-style underground fight, with Cody ultimately emerging victorious — sprayed with blood, surrounded by a roaring crowd. Conceived as a two-part visual companion to both singles, the double music video signals the beginning of a new creative chapter for Simpson.
“This is the most fun I’ve ever had on a video set. Coming off my career being an athlete, getting physical for my work is now one of my favorite things to do. This fight-club inspired music video is a fun and starkly contrasted extension of the narrative begun in ‘Baby Blue’. Hope you dig it. Just whatever you do don’t talk about it!” – Cody Simpson

Nian Tong is a London-based singer-songwriter, producer, and composer whose music blends emotionally driven indie pop with warm harmonies and a whimsical melodic sensibility inspired by 1960s and 1970s pop. Rooted in personal storytelling, his songs transform modern experiences of love, intimacy, and disconnection into something playful, sincere, and quietly devastating beneath the sweetness.
Originally focused on writing and producing for others, Nian’s transition into performing came gradually. Writing lyrics became a turning point, pushing him to tell his own stories in his own voice. He developed his vocals during the pandemic and released his debut EP in 2023. Relocating to London later that year and immersing himself in the city’s live music and art scene fully cemented his evolution from behind-the-scenes creator to frontman.
His second EP Gradually expands on the emotional world introduced in his earlier work, unfolding as a carefully structured journey through modern romance shaped by distance, ambiguity, and personal growth. Written largely during his first year in London, the project draws from a deeply personal experience of a relationship that never fully materialised, capturing the confusion of being ghosted alongside the quieter process of moving forward. While rooted in a clear, linear emotional arc, the EP reflects how unresolved feelings don’t disappear all at once, instead fading slowly and resurfacing in unexpected moments.
